i applaud dave for this but honestly, can his voice hold up for 3 hours a show for an entire tour with the ways he screams?

man... this is what seems to be missing from the PJ mentality these days... you look back at stuff like monkeywrech radio and now you see the foos doing this and you say "see! this is still a viable way of doing things! this is still what rock is about"

In addition to concert and festival dates booked globally through the end of August, there's already a single at rock radio ("Rope"), various TV appearances and synch placements in the works (including a "Saturday Night Live" appearance on April 9), two new music videos, the exclusive vinyl covers album "Medium Rare" for Record Store Day (April 16), secret club shows in Los Angeles, a Foo-branded 1989 white limousine cruising the country previewing "Wasting Light" for radio stations and indie retailers, another North American tour planned for the fall and the forthcoming documentary. The Foos' camp is also focusing part of its marketing/promotional strategy on the "garage" theme of the album, which includes a BlackBerry -sponsored North American tour (brokered by MAC Presents) where the band will play in the actual garages of eight lucky fans.

Got good tix to the Memphis show. It's hilarious I get to see the Foo's kick ass and take names again for a good price while Mr. Vedder charges a fortune. hahahah.

haha Dave is so funny. So down to earth, classic moment was when my mum (whos a HUGE fan and she is totally in love with Dave Grohl) grabbed his arm and pulled him over to hug her and he said "holy F*** lady! Settle down!" he was cracking up laughing.

I was super stocked about the Foos' movie premier followed by the live simulcast 3D performance after, since it is being shown at 2 theaters within 15 minutes of my house. But then I clicked on the theater websites for ticket info... TWENTY FREAKING BUCKS just to see a movie?!?!? I rarely ever go to the movies, and when I do, I usually hit up the matinees. So, maybe I'm just out of touch. But that seems crazy expensive to me.
