Hell yea, I am READY for this album!

I actually really liked (most of) Echoes. Think Long Road to Ruin, Statues and especially Stranger Things Have Happened is some of the best work the Foo's have done, but this album sounds so good. I like that they're returning to some more rocking, loud stuff while remaining upbeat. And I got tix to the Copenhagen show with Gaslight Anthem and Biffy Clyro, so it's gonna be good :-)

Stranger Things is one of their greatest songs. And not ruined by the radio either.

Other greats: Hey Johnny Park, Aurora, Low, Over and Out
I'm thinking, with the way they've described the album, it might sound something like Low, really aggressive.

  • I'm already counting down the months/weeks/days till this album comes out!!! I'm SO EXCITED ABOUT IT!!
Foo Fighters are my number one favorite band ever & i havent seen them live yet. Hopefully they visit New Zealand soon!! From the teasers I've heard, sounds like this album has a bit of a 'The colour and the shape' & 'There is nothing left to lose' vibe. Cant wait!!!

AND Its two weeks RIGHT NOW till I get my first tattoo which is Foo Fighters themed. :D
Pearl Jam Pearl Jam Pearl Jam!

I'm looking to buy a single ticket to Ed's Sydney Opera House show, PM me if you've got a spare! I don't care where the seat is! :D

Just got back from tonight's show at the Dragonfly. It was absolutely incredible. I'll try to upload a few pics in the morning. Also, got a setlist.

Last night's setlist. What a show. Can't wait for the album to come out. An extremely taut, rocking show from start to finish.

Why do they constantly ignore Miracle and Another Round? :x

I love those songs and got to see them on the Skin and Bones tour but I'm guessing the acoustic stuff will be dropped this tour. Grohl has said this new one is the Foo Fighters "heaviest album to date," and last night's show definitely lived up to that. I love that the set was primarily focused on their first three albums to go along with that heavy aspect. Loved seeing "Enough Space" and "Generator," among others.

I left right at 5 when they announced it and got there a little before 6. My wristband number was 125. It sold out just after 6:30. [/quote]

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuRd7Hcao8w "I Should Have Known" is here. Brilliant, best song I've heard yet of the live clips. Dave just pours his heart out about Kurt's suicide.

I'm really digging what I'm hearing so far. Though, I'm not allowing myself to listen to more than a minute of any of the full songs that have been posted. I want to hear this thing with as fresh ears as possible (even though I do indulge a bit...).
    Thanks EPOTTSIII!
