Listened to the first 4 records today. My wife saw them at the Big Day Out back in the late 90s. Still her favorite live concert ever.

I've been lucky enough to catch him playe a few times over the years:

    1) Alanis Morissette - Vancouver '96
    2) Foo Fighters - Vancouver '97 (ubc student rec centre)
    3) Foo Fighters - Barrie '98 - Edgefest
    4) Foo Fighters opening for RHCP - Vancouver BC - 2000 (they were way to awesome to open for rhcp, they stole the thunder!)
    5) Foo Fighters - Wasting Light Tour - Vancouver 2011
    6) Foo Fighters - Vancouver 2018

There should be another one in there as we had tickets to see a show when I lived in Edmonton, but I got sick and couldn't go :(

I remember Taylor already stood out enough in Alanis' band that you immediately recognized him in the foo fighters.  That first show at the ubc rec centre, Taylor and Dave had 2 drum kits on stage and did a drum off... it was pretty epic.

so many memories... that last show in Vancouver, he brought up a fan to sing under pressure with him.. it was amazing...

    sigh....

Figured that was coming. I think they will but it probably won't be for awhile (a year or two)

I always felt that the Foo Fighters was very much Dave and Taylor. I'd be surprised to see them continuing with someone else on drums. Dave must be absolutely devastated

Very sad how Pat has lost 3 band members over the years.....Darby Crash (The Germs), Kurt and now Taylor.

Dave was also in QOTSA when Mark Lanegan was there.
Losing Mark just last month and now Taylor is a lot to take as a fan. I can't imagine how it must feel for Dave.

I need to give that record a listen. It’s not one I go to often in their catalog. That one and the one with The Pretender on it. Echos something…

I know many love Wasting Light, and the Echos Patience, something and Grace album. But to me, they took a huge step down after the 2005 In Your Honor album,

Love me some Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace. The demo version of Let It Die is one of my favourite FF tracks.
Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall

Wasting Light is a masterpiece. They went downhill with Sonic Highways, Concrete and Gold, and Medicine At Midnight.

I understand sonic and medicine, but I really don't understand why Concrete and Gold didn’t stand out to more to people.
