good summary....I checked setlists online before we saw them in Noblesville last night and noticed they were doing the same show each night. They make some of the song transitions seem spontaneous but it's obvious they aren't.Redrumh2o said:I went to both Fenway nights and was a little disappointed that both nights were basically the same, except for the middle solo parts. Even some of the jokes, comments, and punchlines were exactly the same. In the future I would probably only go to one night. They have such a large catalog, was hoping for some of the "secondary" hits from the first 2 albums.....also they stretch some songs out to like 8-10 minutes. 24 songs in 3 hours.....I saw the pixies last week and they did close to 30 in 75 min
Still a fun show and I love how the live songs are usually much harder than the album

I don't know how Dave can maintain his voice. Dude can bring that scream all night long.
The 8-10 minute songs were tedious. I'm actually a little soured at the Foo right now due to the repetitive shows. I can't imagine that Pat is happy with that....he sure didn't look all that enthused last night.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

I agree with the tedious part. My friend commented after the Cleveland show that FF were turning into a jam band. Other than that, we had an awesome time. Yeah, it was totally a greatest hits show but that's what most people (not uber fans) pay to see.Gern Blansten said:

It's also why I see the F.F. ever 2 or 3 tours. Great show, but like U2/Metallica the setlist doesn't seem to vary too much from tour to tour. I'm pretty happy seeing them every once an a while (including this year).tweedyfanjen said:

Not sure if it's every night, but she was acting all embarrassed when he was singing her praises at Fenway. Just goes to show that you can be a cool rockstar dad and your kids STILL think you're lame.tweedyfanjen said:

I haven't seen the Foos in 18 years. I would probably only go see them now if they played only stuff off of their first 3 albums. totally unimpressed with anything they have done after 2000.

Did anyone go to last night's Wrigley show? Going tonight and am curious what people thought. Chicago Tribune gave a mixed review of the show. Heard the setlists have become monotonous and uninspired, makes you appreciate PJ all the more.Milwaukee 2014

^ I was there. Fun show, but as others have said, it’s a greatest hits show with a lot of songs dragged out too long. I lost interest at certain points. No comparison to a PJ show, but you know that going in. Overall, they put on a good show and very entertaining. Dave rocks out for sure.0

Which is funny, as I'm the exact opposite. Don't care for White Limo, but I am digging the classic rock vibe of Concrete & Gold and Wasting Light (not very familiar with Sonic Highways, for some reason).Gern Blansten said:

Ok awesome, thank you. That's exactly what people have been saying. Obviously, take what you read with a grain of salt but the dragging songs out seems to be a pretty common complaint across the board. Supposedly Dave's voice has been going, hopefully it holds up well tonight.bbiggs said:^ I was there.
