Through the first listen, and I think it's pretty good. A couple songs I don't like at all, a few I like and a few that I think are ok now, but might grow on me the more I hear them.6/29/98 Chicago-United Center

Really wish TShirt was a longer track. Really like the transition into Run to start the album. This is an album u need to chew on. It gets better and better as u pick up new things0

tbergs said:I'm actually pleasantly surprised, considering I am a low end fan of their music. I'm 4 songs in and actually don't want to just turn it off yet. Like the different direction. Although, I feel like I hear a bit of Def Leppard sounds at times, especially in the chorus of The Sky is a Neighborhood. Maybe it's more that lyric of "banging on the ceiling".
I tend to like music where the singer gets to sing. When they use stuff to enhance it, layer it, and create effects it eats the soul of the songOne of the reasons I find it hard to enjoy modern rock music. When Dave gets to let loose and sing, he doesn't sound half bad. No need to cover it up.

After a second listen I love it even more. Could anyone else see 'Run' being a Metallica song with a couple of tweaks? The song 'Concrete and Gold' reminds me of Pink Floyd when I hear it.
Favorite tracks currently: Make it Right and Sunday RainPittsburgh 2013

After a few listens I'm really digging it! Very 'Foo Fighters' with some very interesting tweaks thrown in. The album starts very strong but I don't think it tapers off as much as some people think.
My favourite tracks are: Run, Make it Right, La Dee Da, Sunday Rain and Concrete and Gold. I didn't Over listen to the singles either as I don't often listen to FM radio. So I really like Run.
T-Shirt is unfortunately too short too! I think this album will continue to grow and surprise a few people.Melbourne #1 '98

Solid album.
The amount of production and layers makes me curious as to how they will go about performing the new material live.
Definitely a departure from the norm. Definitely a step in the right direction. If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV0 -
Awesome foo fighters album.
