THE TRAGICALLY HIP Canadian band who have been around since the late eighties and are huge in Canada, selling out arena's across the country.
For those of you who don't know of them, I believe this would be a suitable introduction. (But what do I know)
The frontman is Gord Downie, a classic man.

I haven't seen Tori, although she's on my short list of artists I'd love to see. There's always something great about seeing artists that get so into their performance like I've heard she does.
Ha ha, yeah I was trying to think what to write about how into her shows she gets. It blew me away when I saw her, you don't expect piano playing to be so well sexually charged!! Jeez she grinds away on the piano bench, sorry don't wanna get crude but yeah jeez no other way to explain the way she is/was!
She does grind away at her piano. That is so true. It's hot ! So hot ! Oh, Tori. She'll even play two pianos at a time.

Yep, that's the way I've heard it described too.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Not sure why I like them cause I'm really not into any other music like that. They just make me shake my booty.
I like them
Few others: "Weird Al" Yankovic, Coldplay, U2, Polyphonic Spree, Ting Tings, Godsmack, Disturbed, and some cheesy 80's music

wow, so many bands here that I thought it was okay to like...
haha
out of the mentioned i love
the Killers - saw them live, they are amazing. their music is very good
my chemical romance - first band that i ever got obsessed with - baring in mind that i'm only 15 please
Maroon 5 - Love them, going to see them this february, i'm a big fan of their stuff.
and I like the scissor sisters - some of their songs are amazing, especially when I'm at the gym
i've also seen Lady Gaga live.... she was very - dare i say it - good
its disturbing to me anyone would be ashamed to like the music they like. Especially the bands listed here, Death Cab, Coldplay, Killers, u2, tori, em. as far as im concerned thats quality music.
I love it!!!!! Keep it going. I guarantee at least one person will look into something they have never heard of/scoffed at and find a new passion for their playlist.
One thing musically i have ALWAYS prided myself on is that I have NEVER had a second favorite band. They just don't stick; not because they are not good, there is just so many of them over the years, that it is forever changing.
There are only two constants in my musical life; Pearl Jam has always and forever remained at the top, and NOT A SINGLE OTHER thing is constant lol
But the best part of this thread is that of all the "shouldn't likes" listed..... not one post dissing someones choice. Thats the best. Love what you love, and don't feel you should ever have to justify it
"It's No Crime To Escape"... AGAIN and AGAIN!!

i agree with the above but i've got one that may put me in the hall of shame...
i like garth brooks
he's the only guy from that pop "country" that i can stand but i've got every cd.
my chemical romance - first band that i ever got obsessed with - baring in mind that i'm only 15 please i've also seen Lady Gaga live.... she was very - dare i say it - good
I said MCR just because it isn't cool for someone my age to like them...more for your age group. But who care, they are good. The Black Parade is a friggin masterpiece
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow
They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all
Norah Jones and Regina Spektor. Nothing else I listen to is remotely close in genre to them. Its like they snuck past the rock'n'roll security guards that guard my ipod when they weren't looking. Maybe they flirted to get in....
