My brother checked a store in CBus, OH and they told him that when they got a case in the employees had first dibs on them and then whatever was left over was put on the sales floor...but he said their wasn't much left.

    I think that's pretty weak.
"There's a $10,000 bill in it for you."
"Oh yeah? Which president's on it?"
"Uh, all of them. They're having a party. Jimmy Carter's passed out on the couch."

Have you tried palmers beverage in clintonville? Picked up a couple bottles there on Thursday. Its worth checking out. Good luck.

Has anyone had any experience in shipping the beer? Or shipping beer in general?

I'm looking to send a bottle to a friend but I've never done it and wasn't sure the best way to pack and how much it will cost to ship.

I would put it in one of those skinny rectangular boxes that wine is packaged in for gifts and bubblewrap the whole box. Then put it in another box.

did it already??? with UPS, Fedex, USPS, DHL???
I am trying to send one also... don't want issues with the post office!!

do not ship via usps, go w/ups or fed, describe the contents as "collectible glassware" or "barbeque sauce". i ship homebrew and trade craftbeer and have never had a problem. use common sense when packing the bottles, i.e. use bubblewrap AND peanuts or some sort of box filler. for boxes, i have used hp printer cartridge boxes, plain double sided-corrugated shipping boxes.

hope that helps, 1 more thing, ship to a biz addy, saves another $3.50 or so versus resi delivery.

Not yet. It is next on my radar. I live and work in the New Albany/Westerville area so it's difficult at times to get over there.

My awesome wife did find me the last bottle a liquor store on Polaris had. But now I want more!!

Am sure it won't go quite as quickly up there as it did in the city, but it's gone down here, at least every place I have been.

Awesome to have and very cool of them to make it, but it's essentially the Dogfish Head equivalent of Bud Light. That said, I still have two bottles and will be drinking and enjoying both.

I bought 3 bottles from my local beer store last Thursday. I drank one over the weekend and it just didn't do it for me. They were $11.99 each plus deposit. Anyone looking for a couple? Thanks

It's not that bad. It's just a really really really light craft beer with not a whole lot of flavor. I don't dislike it, but I think they could have done much better. As JP said, it's a beer you could drink all day at a tailgate.

  • Picked up a few bottles in Dirty Owensboro KY.

I don't get the hate against the beer. I really enjoyed it and I love craft beer. I thought it was excellent, wasn't heavy and had a light feel too it. I personally thought it was an excellent beer. I like all types and it may be the Bud Light of Dogfish Head, but if you're gonna make a light beer make it well.

I couldn't definitely drink a lot at a tailgate party and would love if they mass produced it. Just lower the cost a bit please.

Thanks for everyone's advice in helping me score some! I was ready to give up when several people on this forum came to my rescue and let me know where I might be able to find Faithfull Ale! The sportsmanship has been great!
