As long as the person with the camera doesn't infringe on the enjoyment of others or the band's performance, I am ok with cameras.
I used to bring a camera to PJ shows, but it was way too distracting to worry about taking photos.0 -
I don't care either way.
Personally... I pretty much stopped taking pictures a long time ago. Seems like I watched most of the show through the lens finder and my pictures ended up looking like crap, anyway.
I usually just copy photos from others... only the good ones.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

I don't care if people take pictures/videos...just don't hold the camera up and block my view for the entire show, that's really annoying.Chicago 2000 : Chicago 2003 : Chicago 2006 : Summerfest 2006 : Lollapalooza 2007 : Chicago 2009 : Noblesville (Indy) 2010 : PJ20 (East Troy) 2011 : Wrigley Field 2013 : Milwaukee (Yield) 2014 : Wrigley Field 20160

NO!!! i like my pj videosnuffingman wrote:shiningstar wrote:I LOVE YOU TUBE
there are many many live experiences that i miss, but i still get to see them cause someone films it live, when it happens, and uploads it
please think about the people who aren't there, who would love to be there
they deserve something
exactly maybe those ppl want to take pics or video think about that its not all about one person its about everyone and there are videos on youtube with a lot of views so if since there are a lot of ppl who dont like ppl recording the show who is watching all of these videos???"THEY USE FORCE TO MAKE YOU DO WHAT THE DECIDERS HAVE DECIDED YOU MUST DO!" ~ Zach De La Rocha

I went to a Nine Inch Nails concert going back a few years ago and this bloke in front of me had his mobile phone up in front of my face for ages recording. I just yelled at him, "Put ya fucking phone down and watch the bloody concert, that's what you paid for!" and he just gave me a dopey look and put his phone down. I hate it! Half the fun about live concerts are experiencing the atmosphere, watching what they do on stage and just being in the moment! Not recording the whole thing and watching it later on the computer!“ "Thank you Palestrina. It’s a wonderful evening, it’s great to be here and I wanna dedicate you a super sexy song." They should ban all tall people from rock concerts! There should be a sign at the door to measure your height like they have at fairgrounds for kids - "Sorry, you're too tall to go on this ride!"
Banning filming or taking photos should really only be done at the artist's discretion. There's no point in us saying "People taking photos ruin my enjoyment of a show!" and then banning it because that would be stopping them from enjoying the show in the way they like to. Then we'd have to put up with endless "I should be allowed to take photos at a show!" threads.
If bands specifically state that it is not to be done (EV solo shows or Powderfinger's final tour are recent examples) then people should have the respect to go along with it. If it's not specifically requested then people should be free to enjoy the show in their own way, providing it does not annoy or hurt others. As long as you are respectful to others and don't get in people's way deliberately then I really don't see what the problem is.“Do not postpone happiness”

Haha cool! I hope to try that at my next concert.0 -
I just thought, there is no way in hell I paid good money to watch some doofus's mobile phone!“ "Thank you Palestrina. It’s a wonderful evening, it’s great to be here and I wanna dedicate you a super sexy song." " (last words of Mark Sandman of Morphine)

actually I don't mind when someone is taking few pictures but I don't like when he's saying to me "I'm sorry can you stop singing I'm recording here". :xChorzów 2007 - Berlin 2009 - Berlin 2010 - Gdynia 2010 - Berlin 2012 - Berlin 2012 - Stockholm 2012 - EV Manchester 2012 - Milan 2014 - Trieste 2014 - Vienna 2014 - Berlin 2014 - Gdynia 2014 - Rio 2018 - Sao Paulo 20180
