Yes.
I am sick of seeing people standing there like manequins filming/taking photos.
Get into it, concerts you need to go crazy to the music.
Sure, you will have memories on your device, but you lose the experience and that is worth more.
Modern technology is killing live music.

Yes.
I agree with you 100%. I don't care if they are missing out it's having a phone held up in front of me that pisses me off.0 -

Yes this!! Sick of standing behind people who hold camera/phone up in the air recording.. They actually just watch whole gig on their phone!! Just enjoy the bleedin' gig...'It's a sad and beautiful world' - Mark Linkous0 -
I think the band has always supported people taking videos and sharing them with their friends. Besides, if someone enjoys the concert by taking pictures well they paid the same for the ticket. I agree you shouldn't have a camera or phone in your face but it's all part of the deal. Like going to a sports game and some annoying immature guy a couple rows away won't stop heckling the opposing players.0

I LOVE YOU TUBE
there are many many live experiences that i miss, but i still get to see them cause someone films it live, when it happens, and uploads it
please think about the people who aren't there, who would love to be there
they deserve something0 -

The phone thing doesn't bother me.
In KC it was the only way I could see much of anything ...
was on the phone held up by the person in front of me.
and I too say thank you for you tube.... beautiful videos.
It should be up to the artists on stage though. The right shouldn't go with a ticket.
In the case of the intimate EV shows, his stage presence is entirely different then with PJ.
There is a vulnerability, he is not playing the same part, Eddie is a great actor too
as all good musicians are.
He is alone, personal, a totally different type of reaching out and bonding.
There is a closeness shared there with him and the fans around you that is night
and day different than the Pearl jam concert experience.
So I say respect the artists wishes and enjoy!
It will be the time of your life ....that keeps on giving0 -
Who am I to question how someone wants to enjoy the concert experience. If it makes them happy then go for it.
I'm doing my own thing at a show. I barely notice anyone holding a camera/cellphone.0 -
Whenever I bring my camera I take pics during the first few songs, then put it away.Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V0

if you look at the # of hits on youtube then that will determine quality. i usually don't watch anything that has 12hits.
as a music fan i am very grateful for what people capture on their HD cameras and philly halloween wouldn't exist on dvd if it wasn't for said cameras. nuff said there.0 -

I'm 50/50 on it. In reserved seating it doesn't seem to be a problem from the concer goer's perspective. I was annoyed at the guy next to me 5th row at Dead weather in GA taking pics and blocking my view many, many times. Also he kept trying to coax his friends into cutting in front of us and they were like 10 rows back. I mean really? kind of pissed me off. But seeing Jack white kick ass from 5 rows from the stage made up for it.
I like video because decent quality one's allow you to relive what you saw,/ may have missed being lost in the moment. I can see how video devices piss fans and bands off though.PJ: 10/14/00 06/09/03 10/4/09 11/15/13 11/16/13 10/08/14

lets ban assholes that hold up flags/signs throughout entire GA concerts too... theres people behind you!!!
the same people that are taking 100 pictures with their digital camera / phone never would've done the same in the film days... and the majority are improperly using their flash... i have these screens in my way and all i see are shitty picture after shitty picture... so it doesn't just make me angry as a concert goer, it makes me angry as an art lover... leave the photos to the professionals the band hires... get some pictures off their website if you need them0 -
I saw Green Day last year and the singer Billie Joe stopped the during the first song. And he was like what the fuck are all you people doing watching us through your cameras and cell phones. We are live right in fuckin front of you. If you want to see us on tape stay the fuck home and watch a fucking video. I thought that was pretty fuckin funny.0
