Reassigning/Adjusting 10 Club Member Numbers

How about reassigning new numbers to show where we actually stand with seniority. It isn't a hard process. If they sent me a file with Active numbers and member names I could have it done in 5 minutes tops so I'm sure they can have it done. In the long run it would probably help them out as well from a ticket standpoint. Much easier to sort. Maybe this is something someone can ask on the round table show on Sirius.

Or there could be a change without a change if that makes sense.....

Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

  • Heheh, I imagine somebody at 10 Club is going to be rather miffed that that number was so easy to sniff out and disclose to the public. Seems like they've been really protective of that number for quite a long time.

in all seriousness, this number shift would really soften the blow of the price increase

"hey you gotta pay an extra $20... but at least your number just improved 300,000 spots" :D

obviously its 10C prerogative if things work fine the way they are... it would just help eliminate clutter i would think... and people would feel good bragging about their new number... OTOH, it might make 10C feel smaller and less important

The list that you've mentioned is sorted by date, so by clicking through it you'll at least get a rough idea on where you stand. I'm somewhere in the 31'000s I think, which isn't too bad considering my join date. First half, at least.

But wouldn't that number just be registered forum users? When you join ten club I don't think you are automatically signed up for the forum, I think you would have to then go to the forum and sign up?? So I'm sure there would be many ten club members who have never been on the forum, I know of a few in my circle of friends who never have, and I'm sure there are thousands that maybe haven't either. Not everyone likes or uses forums. Plus there are the members in it for tickets alone who probably don't care to come here and spout bullshit endlessly. So I don't think we can go off forum members as a true figure of ten club members.

fishy, there are 2 usergroups - paid & unpaid members - obviously the paid usergroup members access is based on your 10c number - there are a lot of users that have 0 post count in the group - im guessing they have created a profile on the site - eg when they pay for their membership etc, but are not on the forum, or have registered for it and never posted on it

cool - i have always wondered how many active memberships there might be - that is so simple its nuts 8-)

I'm still skeptical of that figure. It lists people that have joined in 1970. Now I'm not sure if the ten club was around in 1970, but I'm sure as hell the interwebs were not.

yea - just relooking to see if i could find my page - i saw the 1970 numbers & did think 'huh'

id guess they are admin/staffers/something like that - its just a default year - eg, in health, if an electronic record doesnt have an existing dob it gets defaulted as 01/01/1800

  • some people have had their number for years...i'd be sort of pissed having to get a new number...this number is sacred, whats wrong with yous?

It don't want to know where I stand, and 10C doesn't want me to know either. I've been in the club for more than half of the bands career (would have been sooner if parents would have let me) and my seats are not getting any better. At least the current system gives me the illusion that I am gaining senority.

Very strange indeed.....i'm about 21,270. I have noticed throughout my membership that my seats have been getting better.

How do you see the order of members? I can get the page numbers but not individual order. I'd like to see where I am...

Not the exact position as there are probably multiple "joiners" for each day, but a rough idea at least. Just multiply the page number by 30. :)
