I so surprised about Bob Dylan! So many people reckon he's crap! I don't know coz, I've never seen him live but this thread has been an eye opener! Note to self, never see Bob Dylan!!

Well when he didn't come out on stage until midnight, then everyone had a long solo, that just seemed to drag. Plus the sound wasn't too good. Disappointing.

Aww really?? That does sound pretty shit! How disappointing! I wonder if they themselves ever leave the stage thinking, "Wow I really sucked gigantic balls tonight???" :?

Deftones. White Pony tour. Most of my friends and I went to see Incubus open for them. I was intrigued to see Deftones but wasn't impressed by them live.

That's interesting. I like some of their songs, most of that White Pony album but yeah, I could imagine that they would not live up to expectations

..... RHCP in summer 2007. Saw them 6 months before in different venue what was great, so, I went again. Venue much bigger, less than half full, RCHP like crap. The horrible sound accoustics on top of it.

First one that comes to mind has to be Kittie. Saw them years ago and they didn't even play their one hit song, "Brackish" - they even told the crowd that they weren't going to play it because they knew we all wanted to hear it.

korn..i went with her only couse she was hot...worst thing i ever saw

What year did you see them? I saw them in 2000 and thought they were great. Then again I was singing so loud that I was almost overpowering the PA system.
  • Radiohead on Hail To The Thief tour.

I was monumentally excited about seeing them again (after the amazing Kid A gig I went to) and was ready for them to blow me away again.

They sauntered onstage to a massive reception and then pretty much killed the atmosphere by opening with "The Gloaming". After that, they never really got the crowd back and Thom was in a pretty funny mood, wittering on about George Bush or something.

The HTTT tracks just didn't work live and I was really gutted afterwards as the show just fizzled out.
It's gonna be a glorious day...
  • Eric Clapton. It wasn't that the show itself was bad but he only performed for a little over an hour. Considering how much I spent on tickets I left feeling very let down. I enjoyed Roger Daltrey's opening set much more.

Oasis. It was back in the 'Champagne Supernova' days and I was looking forward to this show for months.
Actually... i should be specific... it was Liam that ruined the show. They came on real late and he was drunk as shit... would wander off stage in the middle of a song, leaving the rest of the band to improvise (which they did well)... and at one point, just sat on the drum riser with his head down, looking like some bar room drunk that was ready to puke.
I'd probably see them again... if they ever toured again... because I love the songs.. but, that night... Liam was just a self-polluted douche.

by far Van Halen 1981 at the Cape Cod Collesium.

They barely played a 70 minute set as the headliner..

band was so loud and un-tight, you couldn't distinguish the end of one song from the start of another,

David Lee Roth laughed and joked himself through most of the lyrics, if he remembered them at all, skipped the entire "i've been to the edge" section of the lyrics to "ain't talkin bout love".. (WTF! best part of that song)

and Alex Van Halen had the biggest (and most underutilized) drumset I have ever seen..
barely a "tap tap" sound outta the whole monstrosity..

Eddie and Michael Anthony were the only two decent performers..

When they walked off and the lights came on.. I was looking around to see where to stand in line to get my money back..

that being stated.. they seemed to get their act back together with some of the 2007 shows I have heard..
    sounded great!
Sounds like the 1982 show I saw by the same band.....some folks shouldn't drink and attempt to entertain.

Doesn't surprise me that Liam ruined it, always thought Noel was more talented anyway. It's bad though when you really like their music and they act like twats!

Too bad, I saw them on their last Canadian tour, and they were pretty good. Met Liam during 'Don't Look Back In Anger', chatted, seemed like a fairly nice guy.
