Seems like a slightly strange decision to head off on a solo tour with the relative success of Backspacer quite recent, a VS re-issue in the works, Live on 10 legs on the way and the 20th anniversary next year.

Enjoy, those of you interested in Eddie solo. Not my thing at all. Especially at those prices, if true.
When we found the things we loved,
They were crushed and dying in the dirt.
We tried to pick up the pieces,
And get away without getting hurt,
But they caught us at the state line,
And burned our cars in one last fight,
And left us running burned and blind,
    Chasing something in the night.

But most tickets are that price anyway out here. TO get a big name act, that is what you gotta pay. Its bull, but we get used to it.

an EV show is not to be missed IMHO
yes the prices are typically higher than a PJ show
yes the seats are randomly allocated, but in my experience, they are closer than what you might get at a PJ show due to the nature of the venues.

As an aside, you might want to check the venues to see if they have membership only sales, a small investment might get you first crack at tickets (assuming they do that in Aus). I have done this before and scored sweet seats to these types of shows.

    altogether now
    Aussie, Aussie, Aussie,.........................oi oi oi

(and Ed, please do some dates in the eastern US :P )

+1 on that...What do you think the chances are? Is he going to add more dates after Aus? and if so when do you think he would announce it? Thanks in advance for attempting to answer my question

Congratulations to all Aussies, and good luck for The Ashes. You guys probably need the luck to beat England this summer.

Either way, you win. You get Ed Ved solo tour.

THats what I'm thinking. As much as I like aussie artists doing them. I would love Brad just to bust some out with an aussie theme.

One of the first things I thought about was the awesome Ed solo posters I've seen, can't wait to see them, just have to find a good picture framer in Melb

    Hi Scott,

Sorry, there will not be any New Zealand dates. We hope you can make it out to one of the OZ performances.

    Best,

I would guess at one per city, but would be happy with per show..

SO everyone bitched about the delay of Tenclub news... I didn't see a problem with that.

    1. Where is seniority? (Yes it's a solo show, but tickets are still being sold through the fanclub, so why not use fanclub traditions?)

    2. Fanclub sales are not exclusive to people in Australia.
    3. Lack of Perth gig(s)

Why chop and change ticket buying policies? How about some consistency.
    1. Other parts of the world go by seniority. I've paid my dues for MANY years...
    2. Fanclub sales have been limited to USA and Canadian citizens...

now these are the issues fanclub members should be up in arms about. Not the fact that Tenclub announced the news half a day later than the national news...

    No consistency here :(

I agree about the seniority and Australian buyers. If not seniority, then at least reserve the front section for 10c. There aren't that many of us. This lottery "find out at the last minute" stuff is a bit of a kick in the guts to people who've been loyal members for 10, 15 or more years.

But with that said, not having seniority means overseas people won't come and take the best seats since tickets aren't exclusive to Aus residents.

As for no NZ - it's only a short flight away and there are always specials and cheap airfares going on :!: :)

Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide for me! 5 shows all up :D

My heart goes out to all the New Zealanders, so close yet so far.

People - It's EV not PJ. Eddie is an added bonus as far as I'm concerned and I'm grateful we get the chance through 10C to grab tickets. Quit the moaning! One thing I'm sure the Band know is that they will never please everybody, and they don't really have too. They do enough as it is and they still can't win with people. Be happy. And if you can't be happy - leave 10C and go in search of your happiness.

Wow someone agreed... you must have joined a while back too... It's a bit of a kick alright. I have been close, I have been in the rafters. But i've been there for years :) I took a punt back in the day, and up until recently it paid off. Why change things now?

Another point is that fanclub members in the US only got to choose one show to buy tickets to. Why not do this again?? I'd be happier to do this than have the current state of these ticket sales. Leaving some people a chance to miss out altogether...

Bring on the one concert for fan members only policy! :)
