Perth show added: details to be announced
Yesterday, the first post of this thread had that bottom line re Perth show added....now it doesn't.
I hope someone's head is going to roll over this screw up!
unless the "details" in question were "PSYCHE! ha ha. SUCKERZLOL"
Hey, look at it this way - Kat often tells us she is unaware of negotiations and so on and history of 10c not announcing or confirming anything until it is 100% locked in.
I'm hoping that this just means that until Chugg confirms he has a venue and dates locked in, that the 10c are out of the loop on this one too.
i dont understand... how could 10c be out of the loop? they would be selling the pre sale.. im tired
Wow! Haven't dropped by for a day or so... what an exciting 10ish pages of reading here! Perth OFF/ON/OFF/??? ...complete disarray in the communication situation...Ziggy and doompony having it out re: NZ no show... JK109224 said it best:
I've just spun the Virgin Website and can get two tickets return to Sydney for $650. My credit card has enough reward points to pay for a hotel for 5 nights. Do I need to be tempted any further?? If I can score Sydney tickets in the CHugg/Ticketmaster presale, we're on our way i think.

You have no idea how many people called me on Sunday to hear if I have heard EV is comming to Peth...
Only to have to tell them he's not.
Lucky I got tix elsewhere.....
oops. they've (TFT) just tweeted that perth shows have been added. since it wasn't announced anywhere except by chugg and was never updated on here in any.. permanent way.. what gives?

Does not look too positive for Perth fans...this is on the Chugg site now.
Dear WA Eddie Vedder fans,
Contrary to recent reports in the Perth media, there is no Western Australia show scheduled for Eddie Vedder.
Comments made by Michael Chugg have unfortunately been reported out of context. We have been looking into adding a Perth show since before any of the tour dates were announced, but we were not able to confirm these dates due to scheduling difficulties. The intention of the comments made in Chugg’s interview was to let the WA fans know that it was always our hope to add Perth shows, and that we had been working on it, but at this point in time it was not possible.
Michael Chugg wanted everyone to know that Eddie was aware of the support from Perth fans, and that he appreciates their efforts in putting together petitions and writing to the Chugg Entertainment office and to Pearl Jam management, but that this would not be a deciding factor, it would all come down to scheduling.
We apologise for any confusion that these media stories may have caused.
if i'm not mistaken those quotes were taken from a live radio interview? how can that be taken out of context? in other words he fucked up and is looking for excuses.
Guys, let's not spoil the positive energy we created with attacks at Chugg. Whatever happened, I'm fairly sure he never intended to piss anyone off and is sincere in his apology. It is fully understandable to be disappointed, but let's just take it on the chin.
Please look at our efforts as being positive in that we were heard by the upper levels of Pearl Jam management and probably Ed and that our efforts were truly appreciated. Given history, our efforts are not wasted.
Now lets just turn our focus to either getting to Eastern States shows (if we are able to) or at least sharing in the excitement of those who are there.

Yeah thats pretty cool that Ed might have heard about the petitons. Its not up to him its up to the promoters but I'm sure Eddie would be grateful everyone went to so much effort
Pearl Jam Pearl Jam Pearl Jam!
I'm looking to buy a single ticket to Ed's Sydney Opera House show, PM me if you've got a spare! I don't care where the seat is!

I've made this into a touring fans kind of type site. Like the one stop fan site for those going to see the Aussie shows.
You can connect with facebook, create a profile, create events and register for events and post on the forum.
Might be a cool place for events, parties, tour questions to be posted and answered by those going.
Awesome job Paul
