The North Shore mountains are getting a big dump this week... Local mountains are preparing to open by the end of November... CANNOT WAIT TO GET UP ON THE MOUNTAINS!

    Oh, it can snow in the mountains! I really do like snow, just sucks when you have a business that relies on holidays and it snows right before the last weekend before Christmas and you can't open. Where I am, people can't handle 2 inches of snow, let alone how much we had last winter!

    I-90 west closed right now due to snow (this is the main mountain pass)
    passes getting ready to open this weekend
    lowland snow due this weekend
    I'm not very excited...sorry, last big snow, was a nightmare :evil:

    Believe it or not, here in Vancouver people can't handle the snow either. I don't know if our snow is wetter or something, or maybe the incline, or generally people don't know how to handle it (we're more of a rain city) but everything shuts down. Our last big snowfall (2 winters ago) I had to wait an hour and a half for a bus, and when one did come, it wasn't mine - the driver just said to me "get on, there's nothing else coming." :shock:
    And then last year, we got the opposite of the east... which blew for the olympics... they closed down the mountain I usually go to to try and scrape snow off the hills and move it to the venues.

    I think that the La Nina they're predicting is just for the PNW anyways... :)

    Really? I didn't know that. I knew it was suppose it here in Everett, any in Seattle though?

    I love snow so much. It's special to me. Every 5 years or so we get a really good snow, we get it every year not much though. I love driving in the snow! That's the best part.

    Vancouver is supposed to get some snow this Friday/Saturday but the forecast keeps changing... It goes back and forth between mixed precip and snow, we'll have to see.
    I assume seattle won't be too too different.

    I'm not looking forward to it and quite frankly can't believe it. Our weather has been so nice up until now, it just seems to be coming out of nowhere.

    I'm right between both of you guys...and that's what they said on the evening news, I90 closed now...more this weekend. But being in the 'convergence zone' one of the three of us may get snow and the others not or vice versa, or...well...I'd have better luck playing the slots at the casino! :lol:

    i hope the forecasts are right & we get alot.... when it snows in the lowlands we usually get slammed as we're usually just cold enough where other parts of western wa aren't & are more hit or miss

    Apparently Tahoe is going to get dumped on for the next week straight. I'll have to confirm with the weather peeps tonight but still looks like a great start. Where all the Tahoe/Pearl Jam fans anyway?..I never see them on here for some reason and I know there are plenty.
