Why don't they all just race in the same then surely it's all about who has the most skill.

Well its also about teams etc, not just the drivers. But i know what you mean, karting is like that, A1 gp, some other race series.

I like how its about different designs, etc

All F1 cars look the same! Bar the sponsorship.

In every racing series, from Nascar to Touring cars, all the cars look very similar but they are not.

Sure the general shape will be the same, its the unique aero designs etc that make the difference,

I was not speaking strictly aesthetics, rather the implementation of the set of rules each team gets to interperet for the coming season.

This is the geeky part and is almost just as fun to see as the drivers skills :D Though it is true that with the technology boom over the last few years, the driver skills are becoming less important than they used to be...

Can't wait for the next season "revelations" to start coming out XD

I'll believe it when I see it!
I expect much the same next year until the rule changes in 2013.

    I am two races behind.
Hence the lack of input. Hopefully, I will catch up soon!

I found 2010 to be pretty tricky to drive, with or without TCS. I have a new Fanatec setup on order so I'm hoping that will make a hefty difference. I only got through 1 season of short races in 2010, and started a 'long' setup season but couldn't put more than 2 or 3 laps in without spinning out.
The new one has co op campaign, that sells it alone for me!

To Suzuka now, Hambone and the Schumi blame each other for the Q3 screw up, although Hamhead later says it is his fault. That guy has had a terrible season. I am not a fan, but I'd prefer a McLaren 1-2 to another Vettel dominance...ugh

I mainly only played 2010 online, or would just do timed laps, 1 min 32 on Suzuka is my personal best hehe. Using a G27 logitech,

I really think next season RedBull wont be as dominant over the other teams as they have been the past two seasons, but damn, I gotta give vettel credit, he did hardly make any mistakes, pretty impressive but I for sure agree that hes boring to watch. Snooze fest, hes not a racer..racer.

    Nice!
Fanatec is coming out with something similar, even down to the detachable wheel base.
I ordered the gear reviewed in the video on this page: http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/wir_9-30/

A friend of mine has the G25, but we have 2010 for the 360 so we were using MS wheels (blech). I have a driving force GT for the ps3, but the new fanatec wheel works with both systems.

Very good point on Vettel - his mistakes have been few and far between this year, gotta give him credit for that. Hopefully Hambone can take him out and Button can go on to victory in a few hours ;)

Very good race, in my opinion! That may in part be because RBR didn't NEED to win, but the pace of the top 5-7 cars and their proximity for the whole race was entertainment.
  • conrats to the vettel for the championship!!!

Great race-loved watching the top three during the last few laps.
Id really like to see a Japanese constructor return to F1.
Too bad there is nothing left to race for other than $$$ and pride.
  • Very good race! It was worth it to set my alarm to 7 am

Too bad Vettel won the Championship :P hehehe But that couldn't really be realistically avoided by now, so...

well obviously I mean "the track". I tried going the route of the track but typical NY/NJ area certain areas were closed off. But I still got a great idea of it. basically on the bottom portion where its sorta rectangular and goes into the forest looking area, it has to go up a bridge to get from the final 90 degree right turn to the tree area. that area where the trees are is over 200 feet higher than the straightaway below it. massive elevation change. The hairpin at the top of the track is pretty wide also. Not to mention your looking over into NYC, great view.

This track will be amazing and I CANNOT WAIT until it happens.
