Owls took down #18 Memphis last night and we stormed the court. A little embarrassing but I'll allow it given all the recent bad times.

Also a ridiculous showing by the refs, who must've needed new whistles after the game. AAC is a horrible conference.
Damn good win but damn that was a long game. Watched the 2nd half. Berry played great.  Way too many whistles though.   Was surprised at the court storming but fuck it let college kids have their fun i say.
I'm always weirded out by the fact Temple and St. Joseph's is a non-conference game now. Of course nothing is as strange as Cal-Stanford being an ACC game.
Because of the new Big 5 Classis they didn't play this year for the 1st time in like 100 years.  And may not play for the next 2 years either.

the West Coast schools in the Big 10 and ACC is absurd. UCLA traveled over 7000 miles over like the last 10 days to play 4 games.  it's insane.

That's nuts about St. Joe's and Temple. And for UCLA, that travel in the past 10 days is less than a month after it played at MSG against North Carolina.

So is any Big 5 school gonna make the tourny? Unless one wins their conference tournament, it's not looking to good.

nope. 3rd year in a row most likely unless someone goes on a run in the conference tourney.  really disappointing for Hawks. should have been better and should be in top 3 of the league but just can't stay consistent. I think the Hawks could go on run in A10 tourney but they are making it more difficult not getting into the top 4 teams in league. top 4 get a double bye to the quarterfinals. so they are most likely going to have to win 4 games instead of 3.

Erik Reynolds is going to break Jameer's career scoring record around end of the regular season though. needs like 80 points to surpass him.  only 2nd player in school history to score 2000+ points.

I'm a St John's alum from 2001 so we rank UConn higher on our Big East scale.

Well you're still looking up at a couple of blue bloods either way lol

No way Neptune is back. New AD is from Oregon, he's gonna want his own coach. Neptune ain't it.

I wonder how UCLA/USC will afford to cover expenses for their non-revenue sports.

Dunphy retiring at the end of the year. Not surprising as he basically came back to help LaSalle get the arena refurbished and he is 76 years old.  Will be very interesting who gets that job. I think it's kind of a dead end job, see Ashley Howard.  Dunph gonna be missed though. Great man, damn good coach.

Yes, Dunphy will be missed, and he is a good man. I go to 2, what is call The Junkies (Basketball) Dinner a year and he usually goes to one and speaks.
