I'm still in shock. To me, the most impressive thing is not the margin of victory or shooting over 70% yada yada---it was the swarming defense and holding the player of the year to 9 points. Their defense is just so good.

Jay Wright named Coach of the Year.

and yet he didn't win Big 5 coach of the year. the writers around here must feel pretty stupid now.

this has been a crazy run for nova when you think about how well they have shot the ball. no team in the modern era (shot clock and 3-pointers) has entered a final game having shot a higher % than this nova team. it's crazy how a month or so ago the talk was about how they weren't a great 3-point shooting team and here they are shooting 49% from three and 56% overall for the tournament (and even greater numbers if you don't include Kansas game). crazy numbers way past the mean of what they did all season long.

Congrats again. My mom rolled over in her grave but she'd appreciate the game. I'll wait until tomorrow to say Nova sucks.

It's one thing to win a national championship...it's another thing, entirely, to win it in such historic fashion.

One of the greatest runs to a Final Four ever...

The most dominating Final Four game ever...

One of the most exciting title games ever...

And, of course, possibly the greatest finish EVER.

    Can't believe this is real.

this is even more incredible than 1985. i mean they had to beat 3 of the 5 best teams in the country back-to-back-to-back, shoot the highest % in the history of the modern tourney over 6 games, get 2 great games from 2 different backups in the last 3 games, overcome an incredible no reason to make it shot to tie and hit a deep (although unguarded) 3 to win it. just fucking incredible (and a little sickening to me to be honest). as much as i hate nova and especially the fans it's hard not to be amazed at what they just did. and especially jay and arch, hard to dislike those 2. #respect to those 2. pretty classy individuals.
