Please. Would I do that?

You only won 2005 cause of negative tactics (man stationed as a sweeper out at deep point), bending the rules (sub-fielders), and inclement weather.

ok, maybe not, but I tell you something that I have no doubt in my mind, If Glenn Mcgrath did not step on a cricket ball before the 2nd test, we would have won the Ashes in 05. Period, no ifs no buts, I am so confident, he was in some of his best form before then.

And 2009, Poor umpiring played a big part, like numerous LBW and Mike Hussey caught at slip when he didnt touch it. But I will say this, England were probably deserved winners in 2009

and cos warney dropped an absolute dolly at the oval when the skunk was on about 5.
and ponting chose to bowl :roll: 30min after losing mcgrath.
and hayden took the light at the oval to save his career instead doing anything to make runs when we needed them.
and cos for some reason not one single batsman of ours had even seen a cricket ball swing before.
we choked after smashing them in the 1st test.

Yes that may be true, but Mcgrath took what 5 or 6 in the first innings, then did reasonably well in the second at Lords. Then he does his ankle (now I'm going on memory here, so correct me if wrong) is out for the second, comes back for the 3rd, and at about 50% fit, he went really well, taking a few wickets. Then he missed another one I think??? I still maintain if Mcgrath was fit we would have won. He is certainly the greatest fast bowler I have ever seen.

But yes all your points are extremely valid. Warney did drop K.P, that was so depressing. But that was probably Warney's best series. He was really good with bat and ball.

But that swing, those little lollies the poms were rubbing on it worked a treat. Jones, Anderson, Flintoff, Hoggart. Wow, they killed it.

Speaking of which, I think Poms attack will struggle out here. Anderson is the only one who has played here.

oh no, so there will be no change to the Aussie side for the first test. North just seems to do that, plus he hit a century in his last start in India. him hitting a century is just a band aid. Hussey, North and Hauritz are our weak links.

Good to see Siddle have a good bowl last night. I like Pete, just dont think there is enough room for him, but good to have the competition.

Yeh, I think they have played in a tournament or two.

USA played in the champions trophy a few years back. All of them were Indians, and not the native type either.

alots got to be said for a shorter run up like he had i feel..i do think alot of fast bowlers waste alot of energy on long run ins.

oh canada. i reckon john davison still has the record for the fastest ton in a world cup. vs the WI in 2003. struggled to get a game for the redbacks but will go down in history!
