They're playing good ball right now. I'm praying we can win these last two with the PHils. If the bats can pick up and stay consistent, I think they'll be in a good spot at the break. Jurjens is having a helluva season

    Jurrjens/Lowe or Lee/Hamels? I know who I'm picking.

Gonna be HOT tomorrow and if Lowe's sinker stays up, even this shitty lineup can do damage.

Remember when the Twins kicked your ass in 1991? God, that was great. Is Fonda still waving her hand around like an idiot?

Kicked ass? You know I'm not a Braves fan, but a 7 game series with 4 walkoffs and a final game 1-0 in 10 innings is not an "ass kicking." They took advantage of their homefield advantage and won 4 home games, 17 years ago.

And I just saw this. Johnny - great facking post.

Well, I live in Atlanta, so I'm a Braves fan...but I wouldn't say that I follow them all that closely. This year I have been to only one game so far...but it was a good one - that one against the Mets a couple of weeks ago where we won in extra innings on a balk. Had some home runs in that game too.

But as I said, I don't follow them as much as you guys do. I just stopped into this thread to say hi. :)

  • Same shit, new year.

Not really surprised at the collapse with Hanson and JJ going down with injuries and the bats never really got going.

Just hope Huddie can pitch them to the WC (or at worst the tiebreaker game).
  • Dont get me started guys...

Braves always do this. They go on long streaks back and forth and you can never quite figure out how good the team is. Until they miss the playoffs .

They were second best team in the NL at this time last week.

The Braves have taken the first 2 from the Nats! :D It's still way to early, but maybe they can sustain and not take their normal Sept. dive!

Man oh man am I enjoying this! Pitching has been unreal to start the season and Upton/Grattis have been on fire. Anyone have any clue as to how long Venters is supposed to be out?

Looks like he won't be back until late May at the earliest. He received PRP injections in his elbow on the 1st week of April. Braves announced they would shut him down for 4 weeks, then start him on a throwing program. On the bright side the Braves look good right now, even though they are missing Venters, McCann, and Freeman. Also Heyward looks like crap.
