Jeremy...although Alive was me and my mom's "car song" as a kid. Kind of helped me to regonise/remember who PJ was in the future. :D

I bought Ten because of Alive and Jeremy (before I was a true fan & yes I am that old) but it was Garden that sealed the deal for me!!!

I Got Shit!! First time I heard this song, it was like eddie was writing exactly what i was feeling at the time. Plus, the guitar is subtle, yet powerful. Anyway, this is when I became hooked. In my opinion, I Got Shit is one of their top 3 songs, and probably their most underrated.

I was hooked at Alive and Ten as a whole...but seeing the 1993 MTV music awards and the Animal performance combined with the RITFW and Uncle Neil performance...forget it!

Truth be told, Temple of the Dog's Hunger Strike. I heard it and asked a friend "Who the hell is that singing with Chris Cornell?"

That got me to buy Ten. And though I love every moment of that album "Why Go" and "Release" sealed the deal. Cathartic. I had a lot of anger towards my parental units.

    Peace,

Seeing them live on MTV Unplugged did it for me. Porch was the song that really had the most affect at the beginning.

Yield in general was the album that opened me up to PJ. I remember "No Way" being one of the first songs where i was like "wow". But "Evolution" at the time was what I needed to hear. I couldn't get enough heavy screaming rock back then.

Black, circa summer 1992, followed closely by Alive.

After listening to my roommate beat that album to death my freshman year (and me hating it the whole time), something finally clicked. Maybe it was the Unplugged show, but at some point, I just got it. Never looked back....

I really loved everything on "Ten", as it was a classic, but I wasn't really hooked til I saw Animal on the VMA's. I was instantly hooked. The passion, the intensity... it still gets me. When I saw that, I had no doubt that they could follow up Ten with something as good if not better and be a force for many years... Luckily for us, I was right!!!
