Favorite Bob Dylan song?

Now this might be damn near impossible since the guy has written so many perfect songs, but the one I'll always love the most is "It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)". The lyrics might be the best I've ever heard; the guy must've been totally in the zone when he wrote/recorded this thing.

My favorite? There's a couple that really stand out for me: Tombstone Blues and Subterranean Homesick Blues. Both great lyrics. But my favorite might be Subterranean. Just one kick ass song. Lyrics are awesome.Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

Damn. This changes every day. Here's what's come up recently on the iPod.
One Of Us Must Know (Sooner Or Later), Tangled up in Blue, Nettie Moore, Everything is Broken, Jokerman, Love Minus Zero - No Limits, A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall, Spirit on the Water, Honey Just allow me one more chance, Not Dark yet, Goin' to Acapulco…"If you are flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit." - Mitch Hedberg0 -
i really prefer his newer stuff, from time Out of Mind onward...the following songs have AMAZING lyrics:
Not Dark Yet
Tryin to get to Heaven
To Make You Feel My Love
Standing in the Doorway
Mississippi
Red River Shore
and very good also:
Cry A While
Nettie Moore
Someday Baby
Thunder on the Mountain
and an older one with INCREDIBLE lyrics, the masterpiece of his religious phase:
Every Grain of Sand"I'll tell you what: If all I had was Pearl Jam, and I didn't have another band in the world, I would not be worried. Because in there is the essence of making great music. You don't have to use it all at once, but it's there." - Neil Young0 -
Tangled Up In Blue
Not Dark YetBelieve me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V0 -
Positively 4th Street; it's basically the ultimate 'put-down' song0

i love not dark yet. kinda sums up how i have been feeling recently, "its not dark yet, but its gettin there..."
there are just too many for me to list though. i really love his older stuff between "freewheelin" and "the times they are a changin"..."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."0 -
Tangled Up In Blue is the first one that springs to mind for me, although there are way too many to choose from.
Am I the only one that prefers Dylan's songs when they are sung by other people? I love his songwriting but his voice really gets on my nerves. I always get shit off my friends when I say that!“Do not postpone happiness”
(Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)
“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
