So I guees what your saying is everyone who watches fox news supports the cordoba project ?
I don' t agree with everything fox news does. For example: one of their biggest advertisers is progressive ins.
Peter B. Lewis is the current Chairman (and former CEO)
Board Chairman of the Cleveland-based Progressive Insurance Corporation
Major donor to Democrat political candidates and leftist causes
    Close friend of George Soros

so does that mean I support him to ?
    ...
    Thanx for clearing that up...
I hope you see the flawed method i used to come up with a completely ridiculous conclusion.
I used the SAME METHODS employed by FOX News, specifically, Glenn Beck, to take facts (all of those statements in my first paragraph were true and factual) to somehow connect them in a way that seems to make sense and come up with the ridiculous conclusion that you are funding the Community Center (because that is what it is, a Community Center with a place set aside for prayer).
It is an example of how you can be manipulated by people who use facts in a muddled up way to come to conclusions that are false.
    ...
I hope you watch FOX News with a bit of a jaundiced eye from now on... they are NOT looking out for your best interests... they are looking out for theirs. Rating = Money... that is what is important to them.

On the third statement... absolutely true. We (under the Reagan Administration) created Usama bin Laden in the 1980s by trainning him and the Mujahadeen to fight the Soviet Army's occupation of Afghanistan. This should make those who use the excuse, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" to re-think that ridiculously flawed reasoning... if they are able to use an enema to plop their heads out of their asses.

thats true that we trained the mujahadeen to defeat the soviets but that doesn't mean we trained him to help plot 911. That's one of the most absurd conclusions I've ever heard.

believe it or not I have started second guessing some of fox news and doing my own research. The only program I really watch on fox is special report

    Then, you agree with:
"Because we have been an accessory to a lot of--of innocent lives dying in the world. In fact, it--in the most direct sense, Osama bin Laden is made in the USA."
    ...
That's all I'm saying... we created the monster.

    As to what Sharia means:
Sharia (شريعة Šarīʿa; [ʃaˈriːʕa], "way" or "path") is the sacred law of Islam. All Muslims believe Sharia is God's law, but they have differences among themselves as to exactly what it entails.[1] Modernists, traditionalists and fundamentalists all hold different views of Sharia, as do adherents to different schools of Islamic thought and scholarship. Different countries and cultures have varying interpretations of Sharia as well.

    Peace
    Dan

    Thanks! :)

But... Progressive Insurance Company is a sponsor. You can choose to purchase car insurance elsewhere. It has nothing to do with FOX News or its parent company, News Corporation. Progressive does not have a say on editorial content of FOX News programs.
FOX News, on the other hand, has full control of what it decides for its programs. They point out that the same Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal's personal charity, the Kingdom Foundation, contributes to the Cordoba Project and ties that charity to Hamas and Iran... to convince FOX News viewers that there is a link to terrorism between Iran, Hamas and the Cordoba Project.
The SAME Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal that is the second largest shareholder of News Corp, after owner, Rupert Murdoch. They suggest that Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal has terrorist connections... someone who OWNS $2.5-billion-worth of News Corp.
Do FOX News commentators ever mention his name on their boradcasts? NO, they don't.
Why don't they ever mention his name? Because he is a co-owner of the company they work for!!! They don't want to lose their jobs and those celebrity based salaries.
So, you can draw a Glenn Beck-esque connect the dots scenario that leads to the conclusion that... FOX News has ties to terrorism... and the people who watch FOX News are participating in terrorist activities by increasing their revenues, thus, raising their ratings. That is only IF.. you actually believe FOX News and their stories suggesting that Iran and Hamas has ties to the Cordoba Project. Because if you believe that line of reasoning... you have to follow the same line of reasoning that links Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal with FOX News and your participation in aiding terrorism by funding it.
So, who's best interests are FOX News commentators serving?
Answer: Their best interests (their high salaries) and NOT your best interests.

even if it includes a mosque........the attacks on 9.11 were not religious, or motivated by religion or done to see 72 virgins in the sky......it was a political act. why else would they choose the twin towers, a symbol of american imperialism? if the goal was to kill americans....why not fly those planes into a stadium at a sporting event? they chose the twin towers because 9.11 was an attack against american imperialism, more than it was jihad against american infidels.

which makes the entire argument about whether to build a mosque at ground zero moot, unless you are a racist.

Developers release renderings of controversial Park51 community center
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_upshot/20 ... s-released

The developer behind the controversial Park51 Islamic cultural center has released the first official renderings of what the 16-story building might look like. The Islamic center is envisioned as having a sleek, modern design covered in hexagrams that resemble a honeycomb.

However, as has been the case throughout the controversy surrounding the project, critics are finding other messages in the design plans. Conservative blogger Pam Geller, a leading foe of the project, has denounced the honeycomb design as a representation of "crashing Stars of David," and described the design plan as "diabolically audacious."

Other observers have interpreted the conceptual plans as a statement on the project's broader interfaith message. Ed Pilkington, a writer for the U.K. Guardian, contends the structure's Star of David echo is one among several design elements crafted consciously in "homage to other religions"; the overall effect of the drawings, he argues, is to render Park51 a "decidedly upbeat and glamorous building, more festive than threatening." Meanwhile, a Park51 spokesman pointed out through Twitter that the hexagrams come from an Arabic architecture technique called Mashrabiya.

The project's developer, meanwhile, is confident the building will win over its many detractors."I don't think that once this thing gets built, anyone will be picketing," Sharif El-Gamal told the Associated Press.

El-Gamal told the AP that four of the 16 floors will be a swimming pool and sports center, one floor will be a child care center, and two floors at the bottom will be a prayer space for Muslims. A 9/11 memorial will be on the 12th floor. A restaurant, auditorium, artist studios and culinary school will take up the rest of the space.

The drawings come from Soma Architects, one of several firms competing for the contract. No architect has been picked, and fundraising has not officially begun for the project.
