five guys is new here, they built 3 or 4 near-by. we tried it, liked it a lot, went back a few times. now it doesn't seem so great.

Red Robin on the other hand is still pretty decent.

how old do you consider new? I thought they've been around for about 5 years or so?

Ah yes, the Castle. Though I'm pretty sure it is reserved for 3am-completely-wasted-food-runs.

Are they even open during daylight hours? :D

I've only had Five Guys and I liked it but my intenstines didn't

please tell me someone else is cracking up from this quote

:lol::lol::lol: I am pretty sure you could fit In and Out in there somewhere too. How about...

I loved the taste of 5 guys but always go back to the old In and Out. It is rough on my intestine though.
Forced to endure, what I cannot forgive.
  • Tried Shake Shack for the first time on Sunday....they recently opened one in Chicago. Had the Smoke Shack burger....it was really good. Will definitely be going back soon. I think I would still take In 'N Out over it though.

This! So Hard! Freakin' love this den of depravity and tiny burgers. I try and hit one up every time I'm in the states....missed it last time unfortunately, something about being too busy following a band on tour.

Yeah, five guys definitely has the better fries. I was extremely hungover when I went there so I passed on the beer, but they have their own beer by Brooklyn Brewery that I will definitely try next time I go there.
  • I really don't get the hype over Five Guys. Just a typical burger chain, nothing special. Never had In 'N Out. If we're gonna go with chains, Fuddrucker's gets my vote for the variety of meats you can choose. Still waiting for them to bring back the ostrich burger!

I think it is difficult to compare Five Guys and In 'n Out....like apples and oranges. IMHO, Five Guys is on a higher rung than In 'n Out. Both are delicious, but Five Guys seems like more of a substantial burger.

Fuddrucker's is awesome....great burgers and the buns there are the best. That was my favorite place as a kid....loved that cheese dispenser they have

I had Five Guys recently and was sorely disappointed. Maybe a notch above your typical sloppy fast food burger. I was expecting at least reasonably close to a classic greasy spoon burger.

I'm highly offended that Fuddruckers has franchises in Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Cali, and Utah, and ZERO in Washington.

They must be afraid of all the awesome local burger chains we have...Kidd Valley, Dick's, BurgerMaster, Red Mill, etc. Hurmpffffhhh
