    Im sure it is a tough pill to swallow but that seems like the sort of hire a program with a culture of cheaters and deviants needs to hire.

    it’s a little murky…he didn’t use the actual word “retiring”….he may take some cushy job in the athletic department. Some conspiracy theorists think he’s gonna take another job, but I can’t see that. Hope not.

    Yeah, it may not be a home run hire, but it will be good for that program to finally have an adult in the room. He is a shorter term hire, but should being them some stability.

    Hard to believe the Utah AD wanted Whittingham out.  The only angle I see is NIL, portal, money or the fact that he is 66.  Just speculation.  I. think Michigan's angle for the hiring is a total culture change.

    a local columnist (who I don’t love but who kind of IS the “go to” for Ute football) says Kyle was made to feel increasingly unwelcome. Kind of like “when are you gonna retire, so we can promote our coach in waiting?” I’m not sold on our coach in waiting, although he’s been on Kyle’s staff for 10 years.
