Tough to argue head to head, but was first game of the year. Notre Dame wins against either today and most would agree, but they lost twice so did it to themselves.

But there is no excuse that ND was flipped at the end with Miami other than incompetence.
The only empirical evidence available is that ND is the worst of three teams being discussed.

Something tells me ND would have performed better than Tulane and JMU. Basically 6 teams got byes,
    This weekend we rock Portland

Tulane and JMU should have never been in, but the rules were set and that’s the way it is. They need to figure out a way for the 12 best teams to be in the CFP.

Texas A+M didn’t score a TD against an ACC team who didn’t even win the league.  Sec baby

That’s a different issue related to the CFP wanting to keep championship games relevant and not exclude group of five.

It was a terrible showing. Miami didn’t look that great either.

They expanded to 12 twelve teams in part to stop the whining of being left out and teams that lose a game *or even 2 in some cases* playing better than everyone else at the end getting left out.
The smaller playoffs were put in to avoid the 2003 split title scenario.

The idea that a team with 2 or 3 losses has too much to cry about, and leaving the opportunity for ranked conference winners to give us some magic doesn't move me.

Don't think there were any issues with the ultimate choices this year.  Can understand the way those teams were announced and the polling itself being criticized,  but I think the teams that made it are fine

ND should've never been flipped from 9 to 10 after the last regular season games that both ND & Alabama won. That made NO sense.

They are letting G5(s) in to avoid antitrust litigation.

ND and USC are not playing next year.
Fuck everyone.  Best intersectional rivalry in college football.
    Dumb bastards.
    Hate this.

Yeah, it was always a favorite of mine. Sucks to not see it on the schedule.

Too much money for all of the greedy fucks.  The only times it didnt play was due to WWII and covid I believe.

College football has so little to do with tradition at this point.   It is just an NFL minor league.
(Which is still fun....but not as cool as it used to be)

You’ll find BYU even more hateable than USC.

I wouldn’t suggest a trip to Provo to my worst enemy.
