Bama would provide us with a highly entertaining 7-3 game, so you know they are in.This weekend we rock Portland0

if virginia had won would ND, bama and miami be fighting for ONE spot? that would be better drama. If I had known then what I know now...

I’m no fan of the super conferences but does anyone really think tulane or JMU can win a game? It strikes me as kind of gimmicky. If I had known then what I know now...

JMU really has no business in the CFP. Probably goes for Tulane too.Wobbie said:I’m no fan of the super conferences but does anyone really think tulane or JMU can win a game? It strikes me as kind of gimmicky.Post edited by pearldavidson on0 -
Im glad they left notre dame out. Sick of their favorable schedule, easy "rivalry" games, and hiding from a conference championship.
Join the big 10.
I'd like byu over Tulane or JMU0 -
disclaimer: I’ve been a bama hater for as long as I can remember…
yeah, they beat goergia in athens…but besides losing to sucky FSU, I look at their last four…lost to OK, homecoming opponent, unimpressive win over sucky auburn, lost to georgia….I would have penalized them for that.If I had known then what I know now...

And after that Auburn game Alabama went ahead of ND. (ND beat Standford) To me that made no sense. Like you said, Alabama's win was not impressive and ND did what they should've done. With that flip-flop of the Ranking of those 2 teams pretty much was a guarantee that Alabama was in, regardless of how they played vs Georgia? I think so.Wobbie said:disclaimer: I’ve been a bama hater for as long as I can remember…

How about when the Committee head said the Committee penalized the way BYU played in their Championship game, but they didn't penalize Alabama for theirs's?0 -
I hate Bama too. I think it’s because of Nick Saban.Wobbie said:disclaimer: I’ve been a bama hater for as long as I can remember…

I have no love for bama OR oklahoma, so at least one of them will lose. 👍If I had known then what I know now...

Yup. It was blatantly obvious that the fix was in. Like ND or hate them, there's no denying that some serious fuckery was going on here. Personally, I think Bama should have fallen out and ND and Miami should have made it.cutz said:

Tuesday, they had ND in front of Miami. Since then, neither Miami nor ND has played. None of Miami season opponents played. One of NDs opponents played and won (Boise St).
Bama loses by 21 points and remains in 9th. Since 2014, every conference championship loser has dropped at least 1 spot. Every single one...except 1: Alabama in 2025.
I am glad ND opted to not play in a bowl game. ESPN can enjoy the revenue Duke (or whomever the ACC puts in there) gives them in that useless bowl game.

I think the fuckery here Is that JMU and Tulane are in the CFP. That being said, I believe ND should be in over Bama.darwinstheory said:

They should announce the 12 teams before the conference championship games. If in the conference championship Tulane wins and now is by rule in the playoff, bump number 12.
I understand Bama saying they would be penalized, but the committing ranked them 8 and could have easily ranked them 13. Compete arbitrary voting. Like when Texas was ranked number 1 in the preseason. They weren’t, and you can’t prove that Notre dame is 9 and Bama is 10 (or vice versa), but Bama lost big to Georgia so that should be an argument that “well, we know now they shouldn’t have been 9 to begin with”.Awful.0 -
How can you ignore games when picking the top 12? The bowl committee’s job is not to protect the conference championships.0
-
And for you ND haters, they got to the championship game last year, and easily beat Indiana last year. The SEC gets in based on reputation all the time. ND is not the only one.0
-
Based on how they both were playing, I feel like ND would easily handle bama.If I had known then what I know now...
