    a place that I'm free
where footfalls echo around staircases in the night
a place in a citadel high up, detached from the town
the place my lovers gather beneath
amongst cherry blossom in the square

    Black Tears

    Family in the vehicle,
    turns to tight to make.
    Small feet, white shoes laces,
    dangle in the night.
    Broken glass, paralyze,
    and it draws red blood.
    Moving stairs, take the fear,
next road, there is the light.
    People asking why,
    yet only to ignore.
The answer falls in black tears,
    as puddles form below.

    I have a story perhaps I've told,
though it does not matter much,
    no one listens long enough.

A story of love and friendship too,
    sometimes difficult but always true.

    His lifetime saved,
    our lifetime spent,
    two hearts we gladly gave.
I breathed his name between his song,
    often as we laid.

    My boy Jakey,
    Sir Laddykins,
    Jake-a-mon
    and Jake.

    An English Nobleman,
    the great storm predictor,
    a gentle cowardly beast.
    My Wolf style dog,
    in 55 shades of brown,
    forever mine to keep.

    The story goes,
    the story stays,
    a picture and a tear.
    And then the love
    is here with me
    forever long enough.

alone with your memory and the full moon
    I'll wait right here
I'll wait for you and your home coming song
to break the silence of my cry.

life after love in lonely room
and the pain of darkness in her tears
    who will be the one
who will remove the darkness from her heart.

    it's been so long
but I can still hear the silence of her Cries
this full moon hides my loneliness
    it's my grand disguise.

    does she know
I have always been right here
waiting for a chance to say
    I need you
    I need you tonight.

I have said goodbye to so many,
    does one more even matter?
    The emptiness is full.
    The loneliness my company.
    The memories my only sight.

And yet another must go.... soon.
Call it a loss but really a gain.
    Their touch warms my blood.
    Their tears my nourishment.
    Their memories my only sight.

Hold this love in our minds eye forever
And our memories will be our only sight.

    It seemed like only yesterday
I held you in my hands
    a little piece of happiness
    only a father could understand.

    I've been around the world
I've gone from land to land
and all these places I've been
I always held you in my hands.

you have grown into such a little man
I'm so proud to be your dad
I hope someday you remember me
and the love I held in my hands.

thou time is short but our love lives on
and I'm not around to say
that my time with you was something special
    I wouldn't trade a single day.

I hope you remember me and smile
when you feel a sunny day
just remember that I'm with you in your heat
each and everyday and will always love you son,
    till we meet again someday.

    his whole world,
    fits in his hands
    a gift from heaven,…
    so delicate
    an empty vessel,
waiting to be filled with love
    hope, and dreams
    teaching all these things
will no doubt present the challenge of his life,..
a challenge he is eager to accept
    love the world away,..
    and give life meaning
guide the empty vessel through rough seas,..
    as well as the calm
    take in every smile,
    every tear,..
    every breath,..
    cherish each laugh
    each hug, and each kiss
know when to be easy going,..
    and also stern and unmoving
tear down the walls of hatred,..
    greed, race,.. and religion,..
    one lesson at a time,…
    this is his greatest gift,
    his heart, and soul
    he is
    protector,
    teacher,…
    father and friend,…
    is there anything better?
    Peace, Love.

you both have me in tears right now
    very powerful and moving
maybe being a parent allows your words to be felt that much deeper
your words sink deeply into my soul

thank you both for beautiful yet heart-wrenching poetry

so sorry for the loss of your dear friend godfather. very sad...tragic.
i know that you will be there
    for the fatherless son
wrapping stories of his father's love and devotion around his heart

    Perfect little toes to come,
    a little piggy each one.
    Baby blues, future smiles,
    toothless drools and tiny sighs.
    First steps, new words,
    Cheerios and alphabet soup.
    Wispy blonde hair, pig tails,
tiny tights under shiny black shoes.
Red vest with a bow tie,
    Scrapped knees and mud pies.
    Sandbox with toys and trucks,
bath time and a little rubber duck.
    Baby dolls and play-doh,
    water balloons, so much more.

Patiently waiting 'til I'm the Granny
with the new little love to bounce on my knee.....
