    Less kisses - more poetry!!
This is why I'll never be a writer, the creativity that comes from beyond visits sporadically
but it sure feels very nice when it comes by.

I thought your poem was stunning actually. Was that one that you dusted off from beyond, or a new one?

new from a dream the night before
I don't have anything old...this is all new to me at my ripe old age! I wrote some when I was very young.
I wanted to be a journalist but I don't think I have the right personality for that.

My father dreamed his inventions. He kept a notebook by the bed.
I thought maybe I would see what happened if I tried being inspired by my dreams
instead of afraid of them or just letting them go.

The killer ...'subconscious' was also a dream, just those 2 so far. We'll see how it goes.
I believe we are closest to the other side when we are asleep. Who knows what I might channel....spooky!

Thanks for your kind words you are a really great person :D

I thought the last one was one of the best things I've read for ages. So keep dreaming!! Yes I think the mind and spirit can wander of into some shadowy other places during sleep - like you said - towards touching the other side. What is it Bob Dylan says... 'sleep is like a temporary death'. I know lots of people have said this, but I just love the song this is from - Working man's blues'.

It seems the semi-sleeping semi-waking parts of falling asleep and waking up can be the most vivid for this. Do you keep a notebook by your bed and reach for it as soon as you start to revive??

    More poems!!

    Wow thanks!
I haven't put the notebook in reach yet but I have been contemplating.
JB found an unused diary in the garage I could use.
He gave it to me for the creative juices that flow on Friday and Saturday evenings, party time :D
I tell him 'help me remember this thought' ... we can not the next day!

I want someone to invent a way to record thought cause I can't read my writing anyways and I have some great thoughts when I am high. Wouldn't that be cool, just to think it and there it is on paper? It would really flow then

Great reading the next day :wtf: 8-)

When you finally unfolded your arms
I learnt what you had been hiding
And why you kept so much from me
You had hidden something so deep
    Even I couldn't find it
Yet you were radiant from the outside at least
    To outsiders
To outsiders like I used to be, mesmerised by your shimmering, I, drawn closer
Insect to a flame, and 'sizzle' - jump back before it's too late - both jump back!
But it was too late for us to unwrap ourselves
    Out of this tangle
Me trapped in your honey, legs flailing
Yet still drinking you up, like sweet bliss dribbling down my throat and drowning
Me, drowning, you, shimmering, floating above me
    Just like you always do
And still I phone you up, and still you want me to
This is some strange kind of pact we have
So, I helped you out. So, I tried to love you. So, I did.
    So, you messed me up.
Simpler to look at this way
Than to admit you struck so deep into your own heart through mine
Skewered us both in the caverns just you were brought up in.
When all I was seeking was the light.
All I was seeking was the flight.

You paint pictures with your words as lovely as the gorgeous bird,
though they are of love lost, a painful experience.
Wouldn't it be great if we could all do that!
    Beautifully descriptive, amazingly so,
and so likened to a bird too. Just a masterpiece, you must feel very good about that.
It is simply wonderful. True talent :D
Justam is gonna think you rocked her pic! I do too !

    Lyrics of the moment:
    'Tomorrow'
    James

    I see you falling
how long to go before you hit the ground?
    You keep on screaming
Don't you see me here...... am I a ghost to you?

    Now your grips too strong
You can't catch love with a net or a gun
Gotta keep faith that your path will change
Gotta keep faith that your luck will change tomorrow
    tomorrow,
    tomorrow

    Why are you phoning?
What am I to do when you're miles away
    You're always calling
From the darkest rooms... and we're both scared

    Now your grips too strong
You can't catch love with a net or a gun
Gotta keep faith that your path will change
Gotta keep faith that your luck will change

    Tomorrow

How many of you people out there
Been hurt in some kind of love affair?
And how many times did you swear
    That you'd never love again?
    How many lonely, sleepless nights?
How many lies, how many fights?
And why would you want to
Put yourself through all of that again?

"Love is pain," I hear you say
Love has a cruel and bitter way of
Paying you back for all the faith you ever had in your brain
How could it be that what you need the most
Can leave you feeling just like a ghost?
You never want to feel so sad and lost again

One day you could be looking
Through an old book in rainy weather
You see a picture of her smiling at you
    When you were still together
Or you could be walking down the street
And who should you chance to meet
But that same old smile you've been thinking of all day?

Why don't we turn the clock to zero, honey
I'll sell the stock, we'll spend all the money
We're starting up a brand new day
Turn the clock all the way back
I wonder if she'll take me back
I'm thinking in a brand new way

Turn the clock to zero, sister
You'll never know how much I missed her
I'm starting up a brand new day
Turn the clock to zero, boss
The river's wide, we'll swim across
We're starting up a brand new day

    It could happen to you,
Just like it happened to me,
    There's simply no immunity
    There's no guarantee.
I say love's such a force if you find yourself in it
You need some time for reflection
You say, baby wait a minute, wait a minute
Wait a minute, wait a minute
Wait a minute, wait a minute

Turn the clock to zero, honey
I'll sell the stock, we'll spend all the money
We're starting up a brand new day
Turn the clock to zero, Mac
I'm begging her to take me back

I'm thinking in a brand new way

Turn the clock to zero, boss
The river's wide, we'll swim across
We're starting up a brand new day
Turn the clock to zero buddy
Don't wanna be no fuddy duddy
Started up a brand new day

I'm the rhythm in your tune
I'm the sun and you're the moon
I'm the bat and you're the cave
You're the beach and I'm the wave
I'm the plow and you're the land
You're the glove and I'm the hand
I'm the train and you're the station
I'm a flagpole to your nation - yeah

Stand up all you lovers in the world
Stand up and be counted every boy and every girl
Stand up all you lovers in the world
Starting up a brand new day

I'm the present to your future
You're the wound and I'm the suture
You're the magnet to my pole
I'm the devil in your soul
You're the pupil I'm the teacher
You're the church and I'm the preacher
You're the flower I'm the rain
You're the tunnel I'm the train

Stand up all you lovers in the world
Stand up and be counted every boy and every girl
Stand up all you lovers in the world
Starting up a brand new day

You're the crop to my rotation
You're the sum of my equation
I'm the answer to your question
    If you follow my suggestion
We can turn this ship around
We'll go up instead of down
You're the pan and I'm the handle
You're the flame and I'm the candle

Stand up all you lovers in the world
Stand up and be counted every boy and every girl
Stand up all you lovers in the world
We're starting up a brand new day

'Turn around and don't look back'
    They say
But I always do look back
    One too many times
Gotta learn to be like the cat
    Leap in fright
    Land on feet
    One look back
    Preen, and go.
    No remorse

    it’s cold in here
    alone
    overbearing
    but I’ve misplaced the key
to the lock on the chains
    I’ve wrapped myself in
as the blood pools on the kitchen tile
    I hear you laugh
    unknowing,….
    maybe uncaring ?
it pains me to know I’ll never
    hear your laugh again

I sit alone, bandages soaked through,
pulling feathers from an angels wing
    one by one
    Peace, Love.

    Tonight you said something
That neither of us will forget
    You'll wish you hadn't
and I'll wish you didn't think that.
You'll want it to just fade away
I'll wonder why I don't let you off the hook.
    When I know I can't do that
It's what you think (about me)
    Not how you said it
No, neither of us will forget
    No doubt we'll be fine
    But the sad thing is
It just confirms what we both already know
    There's a schism, A lifelong schism
