degenerate gambling football league????

would there be any interest in something like:

thinking about a pool where:
each week make 6 picks against the spread
vegas spreads on tues or wed of each week
picks made before sunday at 1pm
most wins at the end of the year wins

without thinking too much about it yet
all picks would be able to be seen by all in this thread
no way to cheat
i could post a spreadsheet by tuesday am with results

any interest?

    If you're willing to run it, I'm willing to send a check. Collect money before season starts...whoever isn't paid by start of week 1 is out. Not enough people sign up/pay before season, you shred my check.

    Doesn't have to be a huge amount...just something to give us something to play for.

    I like it

    My proposal would be 3 college games, 3 NFL games, and you have to pick the monday night game.

    A twist could be that you have to pick one lock each week. This pick would be worth 2 or 3 wins.

    Lot of potential with this...let's make it happen

    But the original poster MUST list the OFFICIAL point spreads a day or two before....

    I would think Tuesday morning the "official" lines get posted in the thread and picks should be in by some agreed upon time Thursday as several weeks will have Thirday night games.

    just a few thoughts for the vote-

    i would post spreads tuesday am if there are enough spreads set- lets say all but 2 games
    and if 3 games or more were not set - i would post spreads wed. am

    what would have to be voted on is how to deal with thursday and saturday games

    i think it could work where if you want a thursday game, pick it before kickoff and
    make your other 5 picks before sunday at 1pm

    i don't think you should have to pick the monday game
    that just doesn't make sense to me
    but we can vote

    1 way to keep the interest even more throughout the year is if you hit all six you get some units

    say each week is worth 10 units
    17 weeks = 170 units

    230 units to overall winner at end of year

    if no one goes six for six in week 1, it carrys over

    and so on

    and if there are more than 20 members the numbers go up accordingly

    i like this idea to keep people interested week in and week out. those way down after x amount of weeks would still have something to play for.
