That's how they announce they're done touring, from the drummer's instagram page? What a bummer all around.
Tom’s speech at the RRHOF a couple months gave strong hints it was over but I guess Brad got tired of the silence. I have to imagine Zack pulled the plug again. Wonder if it’s just because of the physical side of touring or if it’s more than that.

Some of the comments under that instagram post are saying Tim has cancer…. Granted, that’s just instagram comments, so who knows.

Touring is a capitalist enterprise anyway. Start a commune, have people work the fields, then treat them to a show at night.

I saw RATM in 98, 99 and 07 but had to miss them in 22. I had tickets in 2020. Im totally bummed right now.

Glad I decided to add another show to their 2022 msg run, saw one on floor, then next night on Chase bridge…. Good vibes to Tim

damn, still so choked that the show I was supposed to see in Vancouver was originally before the leg where Zach hurt himself.   Other bands had already started going out and playing covid shows, but they moved the leg to after the 2nd leg, he got hurt and our show got cancelled.... what a bummer.

Yea dude. And those were some of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Feeling extremely lucky and grateful.

Phenomenal live band...really bummed but I guess I'm glad they reunited and I got to see them live.

Really hoped to get a new album. I wonder if anything was in the works that might be released later.

Tim seemed to be recovering so I'm thinking it is Zack again.

Only got to see them once in 1997. Had tix for the cancelled El Paso show. Bummed.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

Had tix to see them at Boston Calling 2020. They never rescheduled any Boston or New England show post pandemic.
Think they were likely going to try and rebook them for Boston Calling 2023 but of course Zach's injury kiboshed that.
Shame, but we've certainly seen bands call it quits before only to reconsider and tour again, one can only hope.
    This weekend we rock Portland

Happy I got to see them one more time at MSG in 2022. Feel bad for those who are missing out.

But it some ways, it's time for this band to be over. They haven't made a new song since 1999, and have just been the ultimate nostalgia act during their reunions. And of the 35 or so songs they have, they'd play the same 16 or 17 so at nearly every show.

So thankful my show was fit in and I got to be there.

Bummed to hear this.  The way Brad's post was worded does give me pause though:
I want to let you know that RATM (Tim, Zack, Tom and I) will not be touring or playing live again

That sounds a little specific.  It could mean anything (Tim is sick, they are sick of Juliette Lewis and Brad's Scientology, Zack is nuts, etc)... or nothing.

Saw them in 97, 07, 08 and 09.  Also saw them "perform" on the steps of Minnesota's capitol in 2008, during the RNC in downtown St. Paul.  Was about 10 feet from Tom and Zack.

Had tickets to 4 shows on the cancelled tours.  (REALLY good tickets too).

They were the first music that opened my ears to music and a lot of other things.  My teen brain sort of had that moment that people always talk about with other classic bands, the one where, hyperbole aside, once you hear them and you're changed forever?  Yeah, that was/is RATM for me.  Throughout the pandemic, one of the things that I kept looking forward to, on the "other side" of it all, was seeing them again.

Maybe someday, maybe not, but they'll always be that band that changed me.

And (in my opinon) there isn't a skip song on anything they have put out. It's all just blasting through you full force.

I've told people that the two shows I saw in Chicago were the two best live performances I have ever seen...even with Zack having to sit because of the injury.

Watched the R&RHOF "highlight" show on ABC the other night. I was a little disappointed only Tom showed up, but it made perfect sense when he said something to the effect that some members of the band view things differently. While most likely referring to finally being inducted, I imagine that was also a peek into the band's dynamic, especially when it comes to touring. There hasn't been another band that has been so frustrating when it comes to touring.

By nature of Audioslave and Prophets Of Rage I just assume it's as straightforward as These 3 Guys Who Want To Play Together over here and Zack over there.

Having been blessed to see them in Cleveland early in the last tour(show 5 or 6?) SEATED he still brought so much energy. My guess is his body cant handle his stomping and whatnot any more. While he was a trooper to complete the 1st leg of the N.A. tour , it had to have been a let down he couldnt engage with the crowd I imagine he would have. The WHOLE WAS JUMPING. Amazing to witness and be a part of. Easily top 5 show in my life. Bummed they had to cancel before I saw them again, with the wife that time,  to close it out in Detroit.....

I don't think it has anything to do with him physically...there are some serious disagreements between him and the other three.

One thing IS certain.  One of them can't write new music/lyrics and 3 of them haven't stopped.

Zack strikes me as the type of guy who has a serious problem with the incongruity of what they preach and their level of success.

But its also possible there have been straight up personal problems between them for years.

My situation as well. 2020 vancouver and coachlla, Vancouver rescheduled multiple times then cancelled. No idea why I never saw them in the late 90's and now I never will get to see them.

One of the best shows of my life was Rage at Roseland Ballroom for Evil Empire in 97. Not my fav song, I like it but I remember Down Rodeo the most vividly and Freedom as well.
If I wasn’t such a PJ/MMJ fan, I’d say it was the best concert ever. I was lucky enough to see them 6x from 97-01. Always a solid show.
