And it has to be the MAIN purpose of the trip.

Mine was an 17 hour drive to Tenn. I know many of you have me beat.

    Let's hear it!

I think we need another question, what is the furthest you've gone to see a show, and what is the furthest you've gone on the day of show?

I went over 2500 miles to see PJ at the Gorge.

I drove ~600 miles the morning of Boston 3, 2003. BEST DECISION EVER! (Drove another ~350 miles after Boston 3, got to sleep at 6:00 AM for a few short hours, spent the entire day at Hershey Park, saw PJ again!)

"I'll tell you what: If all I had was Pearl Jam, and I didn't have another band in the world, I would not be worried. Because in there is the essence of making great music. You don't have to use it all at once, but it's there." - Neil Young

New Haven To Montreal to Toronto drive (two different tours)
    Los Angeles to Vancouver
    Los Angeles to Boston flight
    Los Angeles to Hartford flight

plus multiple road trips on each coast. No Euro or AUS shows "yet"

    100% worth it.

That's what was SO great about Pearl Jam playing Newfoundland. People who never would've gone there otherwise found out how wonderful of a place it is!

I flew from Newfoundland to Alberta then drove to the Gorge....from one side of the continent to the other :)

Farthest Distance was flying from Houston to Calgary. That was my first PJ show and it was more than worth it.

I guess the longest trip was driving from Houston to WPB FL and then to Tampa and back home. Houston to WPB was 18 hours solid. It was worth it too.

flight from sydney australia to new york
if my flights were not stuffed up, you could have thrown a trip from JFK to Camden directly after that, either by car or train, as soon as i got through the airport, but i didnt get my original flight :(
sydney - Papeete Tahiti (8 hours) 24 hour stopover in Papeete (enforced due to no flights) then 12 hours Papeete to New York
44 hours in total to get there! 6 shows later, it was back to sydney on a 20 hour flight

    TOTALLY WORTH IT!
    2003 - Sydney x3,
    2006 - Reading Festival,
2007 - Katowice, London, Nijmegen, Rock Werchter,
    2008 - MSG x2, Hartford, Mansfield x2, Beacon Theater,
    2009 - Melbourne, Sydney,

Don't let it bother you...I thought it was a good question, one I've not seen before!! You'd think that people don't realize that message boards turn over topics often as new people join :-)
