Yeah Newch, the only problem I have with the lawn is you hear shit like "I don't know this one...Play Elderly Woman!" Kids like that piss me off.
    :lol::lol: I love those people.
Its even worse when they refer to that song as "Hearts and Thoughts". That bothers me soooo much.

Also, I don't necessarily agree with Ed's political beliefs, but I also think we should be quiet when he talks about stuff. It also bothers me those kids that say "Shut the hell up and play songs!" when Ed's riffing about something. The worst was during the end of Come Back, Mansfield I 08. On the boot, the song ends about the 4 minute mark and the last three minutes are Ed talking about the recruiting stations in the venue. You can distinctly hear people saying "Shut the hell up and play songs."

At least they know the chorus. It's like how people refer to Baba O'Reily as "Teenage Wasteland". That makes me mad. They're not music addicts like us.

I'll have to listen to that again. There was a lot of talking on the 2003 US tour, leg 1. I think the Nassau show is one of them that comes mind after Bu$hleaguer. It's a good show, too.

  • If they want to heckle the band, go see CAKE perform live. They actually live for the hecklers. They'll take 10-15 minutes in between songs, telling jokes, giving away a tree, whatever. They welcome the hecklers.

  • reading about the interview on the Sirius PJ Radio yesterday (see Grunge Report article regarding the same) http://grungereport.net/?p=1366 sounds like we may not get a PJ Tour in 2011. Ed says they'll be doing "new" and "different" things this year. Maybe that means another Ed solo tour (in the states). Maybe that means something will get released from the vault. Maybe that means we will be getting a PJ tour and they'll be playing some "different" tunes than usual. My vote for obscurities: Hitchhiker, Falling Down, Devil Doll, Breath, Who You Are...more to come. Hows bout you guys? Vote for obscure PJ songs??

That's my jam right there. Yes please on Hitchhiker.

Honestly, it really makes no difference to me if we get an EV show or PJ show. We will get something, that's for sure. Too much money to be made in this area of the country.

I just know 2011 is starting off good with the Live on Ten Legs release. Proud that I'm getting a new PJ vinyl with that. Great to start the new year off with that. Also the Vs. and Vitalogy re-issues coming out and it looks like the Orpheum show will be included on one of those.

Yeah, I doubt St. Louis, KC, Cleveland, Noblesville, Bristow or Salt Lake City will be getting an EV or PJ show in 2011.

    Sarcasm or no?
I mean, I think there's a reason why they hadn't been to those places in years and years. And when they finally played there, there were more empty seats than a Kings of Leon concert (F Kings of Leon, by the way. F them and their hipster skinny jeans). I'm sure there were fanatics and nice people at those shows, some of whom I know personally on the board. But come on...

    Disappointment in those cities.

I've never been a fan of Kings of Leon. I only liked a few songs from their previous album but nothing really hit me with them. I'm sure others think they're great.

Noblesville was sold out (35K plus) and was awesome, yet cold
Being on a Friday Night helped.

I stand corrected on Noblesville. I stick to my theory on all the others though. Thanks for the clarification on that BD. You're right, Noblesville did sound like fun.

Thank you and as an employee of a CT based company, I agree with your wishes for a show... Downtown Stanford would be lovely :D
Or he could just play in the middle of our trading floor

I'm gonna buck the trend right now and say I actually like the new KOL album. Don't really care for the jeans and the hipster ideology's and all that. Don't even care to see them in concert.

But the new album is pretty good.

I was listening to it in the car today and it is growing on me. But I read they don't care what soccer moms think about them so I guess my opinion doesn't count! Not bothered about seeing them in concert but REALLY want to see PJ in CT...PLEASEEEEEE :D

Saw the Black Crowes in NYC a few weeks ago...they were amazing and it was a small enough setting for the whole crowd to just have a lot of fun!

the new cd is miles above the last
but far from the first 3
hating on the taper jeans and overpriced clothing line as well
but still holding out hope that they'll come back to their roots someday soon, appreciate the original fans and lose the new fans they've picked up who only care to hear Sex on Fire
Also, i heard recently that they have an extra guy on stage now at their live shows playing guitar, who they keep unnamed and hidden in the shadows...apparently Matt and Caleb cant handle the guitar parts on the new songs

One of the comments on a video said she's even better live. Not sure I'd go but I like to hear artists are better live...one of the reasons I like PJ so much!

I was thinking...people said the band said they weren't going to tour in 2010 and they did. Now Eddie is saying they might not do much touring in 2011. It could mean more Eddie touring and probably a PJ tour later in the year.
