Can you work any PJ into the paper?
This team I'm going to re-read it when it's finished to make sure there are no errors.

That's an excellent idea, Mr. Newch.

Well, I'm just glad you weren't watching porn or this thread could have taken an unintended but decidedly naughty turn if you'd, um, substituted a word...

  • Team EVCT11, these are the days we need to keep this thread alive. Ed's got Oz planned, we need him to feel the love enough to add an east coast leg to this thing before we get a summer of the full band. Come on, Ed. Can't be said enough.

I think the story about you and Youngster tacking the elderly in the record store might have put him off a visit to New England.

Better not mention that I deliberately nudged someone with my backpack on the T this morning. Hey, I always loop it down so it's under my arm and across my front, and thereby as small and unobtrusive as possible. This woman gets on with an ENORMOUS tote bag, big pocketbook, umbrella, and proceeds to take up the whole aisle. And that always happens when the person right next to me just ate an everything bagel and is exuding garlic from their pores.

    But I digress...

Eddie, please come here. We'll all behave.

Yes! And especially Aussie's starting at least 5 "Come to Perth" threads everyday. I am going to keep this thread alive, on the first page, and WE all have to make sure this is the first thread on the list under the stickies. Let's make this shit happen!

Seriously, some place has to hire me so I can buy the ticket for the show. Otherwise, I better find someone with an extra ticket.

I ended up getting a pair off of StubHub for the Jersey show, cost me around $500. The Jersey show wasn't even sold online the day they went on sale, you had to call and get through to a live operater and they still sold out in 15 minutes.

But you know, Fuck it, it's just money.
  • Yeah, in 08 for the EV shows at the Opera House, I think my tickets thru TM were about $95 each. But those were nosebleeds.

  • you dont even want to know how much was spent on my first PJ shows (Mansfield 3 - 2003) thru ebay pre-fanclub. Had decent seats - first night was first row of uncovered seats, next 2 nights were in last sections of covered seats.... cant say i regret it one bit tho. worth every freakin penny. However, im not quite sure why these EV shows are going for much more than the PJ ones...is that because its less common to get an EV show than PJ? IDK. However, we're all gonna dish out the cash, no matter what the cost is to see our boy(s) so.... they gotta hold on us. damn inflation :x

ebay pre-fanclub? What's that? I think EV is more expensive than Pearl Jam because PJ plays 18,000+ seat venues and the Opera House held about 2,000 (if that). Supply and demand, my friends. Capitalism at its finest. It's not Ed saying, "Let's bilk the shit out of those CT kids."

If I see a show in an amphitheater, I'm going to get lawn seats. The lawn is fun to party with your friends and your all together to rock out. Who's getting lawn seats next time PJ is at the Dodge?

I will if I don't get 10c tickets. My 10c number has yielded kick-ass tickets for me in Hartford the last 3 times (06, 08, 10). They tend to F me at the Tweeter Center/Great Woods for my 10c tickets, so I always love going lawn there. Going green, we'll call it.

I wasn't a member in 08 but I'll probably try to get 10C tickets first. 06 sounds like a good show. I really wanted to go to that show but had no one to go with. I still regret not going to that show because they played Sleight of Hand. I had my chance to hear it and I didn't!

06 really wasn't all that great. SOH was nice, and I'm Open for the first time was cool. But it wasn't all that fantastic. Might be my least favorite of my 18 shows. The seats were awesome, however. 15 rows up Stone side. Can't really beat that.

  • ebay pre-fanclub is my lateness to the party that is this wonderful fanclub
wanted to go, tix sell out thru TM in like 10 secs so i was left to get gouged

Lawn seats? No thanks. I want to see the show. Not just hear it from a distance. If i wanted to hear it from a distance, i'd just party in parking lot and save a shit-ton of money...But thats just my preference. And do not underestimate the party that is the good seats. I dont think you could "feel" the energy that is the awesomeness of the fan club from the lawn. Just sayin....Betterman Mansfield 08...everyone pounding on the seats during the long ass pause...Ed staring in amazement....I'm not sure the people in the lawn even knew what the hell was going on there....And not to mention, your only saving what...$20 to sit in the lawn?? I'll sport ya $20 Newch for the upgrade...for real. You havent been in a seat for a PJ show yet (right???). upgrade kiddo!!

My fanclub # is behind many of you on here...but my seats ALWAYS kick ass. Never been in the second tier in an arena. Never been anything less than equivalent to Sec. 6/7/8 at Mansfield. Floor seats for both Boston and Hartford this year.

    end rant
sorry...work is being a huge bitch today...had to take it out on someone 8-)

I've seen them indoors and outdoors. I had great seats for my number this year; section 117, row C (first row), seats 3 and 4. I was pretty much on the floor. The worst part was...I saw Fenway laughing it up with Dissidentman (I knew it was him by the hat). If I had know that I would've gone over and said hi. But I still had an awesome time this year and in 08 on the lawn.
