So original situation seems pretty creepy to me. I sure wouldn't want some ex-colleague to see ANYTHING related to any relative of mine. Its none of their business.

i constantly go through and "update" my friends list. if we dont really talk or share common interests, i delete them. recently ive had all these members of a "clique" (my friends and i call them the barracudas) from my old job that i never liked any of them. reason being, they constantly talked crap about other co-workers and spread rumors (one of which telling my other coworkers and supervisor)that i was a pothead because they think my nag champa incense oil smells like pot apparently and that i slept with one of them in their group )because of my long hair and beard. and ps no i never slept with anyone at any job for that matter.. but now, one by one they try to add me. its like wtf? and then they question friends of mine as to "why the hell wont mike add me on facebook?"

I say delete him too. FB is like a stupid game and deleting "friends" is not nearly as bad or rude as a lot of people think. Besides, who cares?

And he may have found you through scoping out someone else's friend list. I don't know if there's a way around that.

Just block him. If you just delete him, he cans till contact you. But blocking him makes it look like you've dropped off the face of the planet......he won't be able to find you in a search, or on friends lists.
