So right now the big news in the metal world is the Big Four tour, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax. Who would you pick as the big "Grunge" Four? (and don't slag me for using the oft-maligned term "grunge", you know what I mean!). And if Nirvana were in your list, who should sing for them, if at all?

1) Pearl Jam
2) Soundgarden

TCV aren't grunge. In my opinion, anyway. They rock, but they don't fit into this category.

would anyone consider the Pumpkins this group? it's been widely debated that they were. I personally think they were not, even though they were huge in the same time frame.

I'm pretty sure the term "big 4 of seattle grunge" was used previously and included Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains

I would love to see the 3 remaining bands of that group do a show together

Why couldn't Dave front a reunion Nirvana gig? Pretty sure he wouldn't do it for all the coffee in Seattle though...just sayin

    1. PJ
    2. Soundgarden
    3. Garbage (I love Shirley's voice)
    4. Seven Mary Three

    (I'm a geek, I know)

Oh, and I read somewhere that Dave doesn't listen to Nirvana's music anymore, too many painful memories or something :(

Nirvana could never, and would never, re-form without Cobain, but this is absolutely the right answer to the question. These are the big four of grunge-- the irony is that, although they were all characterized as "grunge," none of these bands actually sounds like any of the others.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

    1. Nirvana (singing for KC would be TRENT REZNOR as you have to be able to SCREAM to sing Nirvana right)
    2. AIC
    3. PJ

I never imagined in a million years that AIC would get a new singer, either.
