***Time to Give Someone Their Holy Grail - Updated***

Here's an idea:

Maybe we'll give everyone a week or until the end of the weekend or whatever. Everyone that wants to, gets to nominate one person from the board - via PM (I don't wanna hurt anyone's feelings). You don't need to tell me why that person deserves it, just the person's name. And then at the end of the week or w/e, I'll tally up all of the votes and we'll go with that person. Hell, you could even vote for yourself. After that we'll go with that person. What does everyone think of that? Please don't start PMing me until we all decide that this would be the fairest way to handle this.

My dream came true when a bunch of people on here got tired of seeing me ISO my holy grail - Birmingham, AL 1998 poster and they all chipped in a got it for me as a surprise. One of the kindest things I've ever seen in my life. Very moving day for me when it arrived. I had no clue!

And about a year or so before I got my gift, a bunch of us over on the old Message Pit and the RM (probably other places too) all chipped in and got demetris (D) a PJ/RHCP poster from 1991 - basically it was just a thank you to everything D does for us here and if I remember correctly, it was around Christmas time. D loved it!

And then finally, back in January the hunt began for arq (Jose) to get his Soldier Field LP - which was also a very sweet surprise for him.

Anyway, I really think it's time to do this again. Everyone chipped in what they could- don't feel like you have to do anything, this is just for the people that would like to say, thank you by throwing in a few bucks.

So...who's in? For starters, I think we need to select someone and find out what PJ item they really, REALLY want and then the true fun begins when we get to search for that item. Any ideas? I have a couple of people in mind, I don't want to throw it out there yet, I wanted to see what everyone else thought first.

    yeah, that's the only thing that I'm afraid of. Whoever we all pick, i doesn't mean that there is no one else that is worthy- because there are a TON of VERY nice people on here.

    I'm in. Never done this before, so I'll need some direction.

    By the way, if anyone sees Stone hanging around, he's my Holy Grail. Make sure you poke holes in the box so he can breathe while he's en route with UPS. And put in plenty of water and shredded newspaper, too.

    Ditto. This guy donated a ton of PJ goods to help the Philly fund-raisers and to help support US Troops. He's not even American. Speaks volumes about him as a person and a PJ fan.
