"She could see how other people were help over the fence, her sister was pushed over and she tried to give a hand, but she could not. And she could not move her self. But there was a guy standing behind her. Apparently he was quite tall and big and he did all he could to give here some space and room to breath. The security guards did not see her when she was standing there but he made shore that they became aware of her distress and helped her to get over the fence. One the guards and the paramedics was taking her away from the chaos she could see have Eddie Vedder was crying on stage. She was one of the last girls that got over. And the guy who helped her did not. Nine people died that day."

Did the paramedics take your future wife away immediately? Because if she saw Eddie cry, that was when those poor kids were discovered and everything stopped. Right? Your hero is tall and big, he made it.
Your story is very touching, something good in all that tragedy. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing your story. Very moving. Whether your hero made it or not, nine lives were lost and that is absolutely senseless. With the Europe festivals coming up, everyone be careful. I tried to make front row in Milan in 2006 and had that distinct feeling of dying crushed. Never again. I am going to Venice and taking it all in from the safety of well behind. And look forward to shows back in the States, where the seats are numbered.

    Anyway enjoy your blessings :)
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

Like everyone else who has read your story i am in tears. Such a moving story, tomorrow will be an emotional day for every Pearl Jam fan but none more so than your wife and everyone else who attended Roskilde 2000 and the families of the 9 fans who tragically died.
