corduroy is the best song ever

    100%

I read an interview with Mike once where he was asked which song he liked playing the least and he said Corduroy..now I think of that every time I hear it.

wonder why they play it every night then (pretty much)....it's not like it's a huge hit or anything...

I read that too. He used to call it 'Borduroy' which made me laugh. Love Mike. But the interview I read said he had since come around on it and was digging it again. This was years ago though.

Well that makes me feel better...cause I think it is a really good song...at least he is liking it again.

If I knew where it was I would take you there. There's much more than this

So do I. I mean he kills it every time, but if he really was playing it with all his heart, not just playing it to satisfy us all, he'd fucking melt everyone's faces off.

I think that's just how Mike felt at the time he was interviewed. They used to play it more even more often than they do now.

gndcd402 you're doing a GREAT job once again!!

When I did a couple of relay threads for the 2009 Aussie tour, I was stoned, drinking beer and red wine, talking on skype and chatting in the relay thread at the same time and wrote "PRESENT WINE" instead of Present Tense, missed a couple of songs etc....I was pretty smashed by the end of it! Ahhhh good times!

But you....you're the man! Nice work!

Well damn. I didn't realize we were all at the Cleveland show. Well I guess we have a group or club or something. Does that mean we need a name now and more importantly. . .are we all inagural members of the "club" so we get low membership numbers for some sweet ass unforseen deals?

where's a full WMA? Where's Who You Are? They should close with Release, even with Ed by himself doing it acoustic. That would be different.

I could never do the relay. On either the giving or receiving end. I get too distracted.

It's an amazing song! I love that it's a concert staple. And yes, I'm glad Mike came around on it. I think it was the 2000 tour, somewhere around then, when he referenced being bored with it, but as the 2003 tour was starting - and when this interview took place - he had come back around on it and was enjoying it and trying to improve the solo each time. One of my favorite PJ songs, for sure.

Tip of the hat to the trivia winner. Come around front to collect your prize.

Ooop, that sounded a little too graphic, didn't it?
