Uh, because it became a nickname amongst my lady friends in high school, Gabe being my actual name - an affectation if you will. My numerous nicknames from my guy friends usually revolved around the idea I was tall, thin, and laid back. It could be worse I guess, they could have called me shit head.

This is true. We had a friend called Dick Pinkey the Fabbaluss Ass Scab.

    See. It could be worse.
  • I figured that since it would be obvious that I was a Pearl Jam fan since I was posting on their board, I opted for a Flaming Lips song.

Thank you for clarifying. I hope I wasn't insulting. I also saw you in the "Sexiest Male Actor/Musician" thread posting a photo of a man, just like I did. So that made me think more of a woman than a man.

Oh well, the mystery is gone.

Thank God(dess) for Michael Franti. Michael is becoming a cultural icon and hero of progressive forces on the planet. His head and heart are in very solid, loving places and he is moving America along toward higher consciousness in these dark times.

Well Michael's my friend and most people don't know what kind of a great musician he is and many women thinks he sexy. Hell even EV has Michael on his *BODY OF WAR* album.

BTW ...Don't men can think of other men as good looking/sexy just like we can say they can look ugly too?

eeirepa was/is a magazine that one of my buddy's did. Pretty much wrote about the everything "eerie" in PA (Kinda like the Weird NJ mags, but without the weirdness). I helped out as much as I could. Unfortunately he stopped the mag a few years ago. He said it was cuz he didn't have enough vendors/sponsors. I'm totally not buying it though, I think it was something else though. We did have 4 issues that were pretty successful. And I just added my name to the end of it.

Not sure if the website is still up, was last time i checked but that was a few months ago.

My name is John. Part of my family is from Abruzzo, Italy. And PJ's second drummer's last name was Abbruzzese. I thought I might have been playing off of Johnny Guitar, but Backspacer wasn't out yet when I joined.

PS: I tried "A Furry Thing" but it was already taken. That's when I knew all the good PJ-related names were used up.

I enjoy pro basketball a lot, though it's harder now given the state of the team here. I saw the movie singles numerous times and the name seemed to fit.

well the crowd was really into it when kobe scored 61... Amazingly Knicks have remained among the league leaders in attendance and regardless of their record if the Knicks are winning or are making a blowout game close, the building does get loud, not concert loud but fairly loud.

As some of you may know, hammerdonkey originated from a fighter my 8 year old boy and I created for the UFC game for XBox360. His name was Hammerdonkey Buttsniffer.

Through hours and hours of training and undercard fighting, Hammerdonkey became one of the greatest MMA fighters the video gaming world has ever known. He became famous in Singapore for his patented submission move in which I like to refer to as the dreaded "Ass to Mouth Life Ender". He then went on to retire, became an architect, and is still able to shit out adult sized fists from his ass. He also married a girl named Lisa but that's a different story.
so yer tellin us yer raising kids!? :o

  • Pearl Jam played a free show in Seattle and called it 'Drop In The Park' and I got to go along with my sister.

The entire experience of going to that show will always be a highlight in my life.

The famous Lance Mercer shot of Eddie hanging from the rafters at that show is titled 'A Drop In The Park' and I like it when my names start with the letter 'A', so...

I used to post as Urban Hiker, but when the board switched over I wasn't doing much "hiking" around the city, so it no longer felt like it fit.
