posters went on sale in the front foyer at 5pm. there was a line, and they let small groups go at a time. people kept sneaking/ skipping the line. a security lady comes over and says, y'all better get up there, people are skipping the line, and I'm not stopping ya. mass pandemonium ensues, everyone rushes the stand..... I got my 2... looking to trade an MSG 1 for any 2 of the following: wpb03, stl03, champaign03, or alpine valley 03. anyone interested hit me up.
and love, what a different life had I not had this love with you.

Sounds familiar. In 2008 at night 2 we all caught on to the fact that those assholes were selling posters OUTSIDE the venue and we got there early to make sure we got one. I think there were literally over a THOUSAND people penned up behind those bike rack looking security barriers. Their system was to give everyone an "I got in this bullshit line" wristband, and then when we finally got let go to approach the merch booth we got another wristband to redeem our poster after the show. This just meant that some assholes put 2 "waiting line" wristbands on and hid the other hand in their pocket as they bought posters at BOTH merch booths. Not to mention people were shoving like fucking crazy when they started letting us go up to the booth in small groups.
If I go to MSG again for a show I will NEVER put up with that bullshit again! Put the fucking posters in side the God damn venue like everyplace else for fuck's sake! If you get there early and you find one at a booth you get a fucking poster. End of Story.

I got to the venue around 7:30-7:45 and they were sold out. I was running around every where trying to find them and asked people who I saw with them how recently they got them. I eventually ran into a guy with two poster tubes and he sold me his extra for face value. Thanks man.

I've never been to MSG so I don't get this "foyer" thing. Are they onsale out side, or do you have to have your ticket swiped and enter to get the poster?
reasonable poster if you were there but again another one I dont have to come out of poster retirement for....bootlegs aside this tour is being kind to the wallet
Brad did an awsome job with jazzfest, Ames leaves something to be desired as usual. Hamptons harford is excellent. But Burwell tops it for me, with a big margin too. I find his print to be fantastic in every way.
Got my hampton and Burwell on the way. Both signed off course

Its hard to please those doncaster boys. The prints for this tour has been of great variety, which is always welcome. I think there has been some really strong ones for this tour. Any train news?

Not yet bud, not unti 28 days before travel, so early next week....
these prints are ok, dont get me wrong, but nothing is blowing me away as a must have poster....but if i was at the show I'd buy them in a heart beat, the MSG would have been cool to have if i was there....
There were a group of scalpers buying posters at the front of the line who had help from a 10c member and who I believe was Ninersfan. There was also another woman who at around 6, walked outside with a bag of about 50 posters.
I went to my seat at 7 and they still had plenty of posters.
I was in line early to get and was one of the first 25.
I am sure those idiots from yesterday will be back tonight.
Wow, that was the easiest I ever had getting a poster. Got there about 5:45 (foyer area), not much of a line at all! Where were all the people who lined up at 2pm in 2008? Why did they need holding pens then but not now? I went into the arena at 6:30-ish and all the merchandise stands had them too. I never saw them inside before at any of the previous MSG shows, so they must really have heard the masses and printed a boat load of them for this tour. If you wait til the opening band to come on to go in, you might not get one. Get there early, no problem.
So are the posters being sold outside before the gates open? If so, what time do they start selling them?, and where? This is my first show at MSG so I want to be sure to get a poster. Thanks!
At least there is work put into it. All Ament posters looks like they were drawn and coloured in 15minutes. Brad and most of the other artists at least put an effort into it.
