3 rounds in 3 days for the first time in 15 years.
    87,85,85 off the back tees.
    I'm happy I've turned a corner.

Expect a call from Greg Norman.

Got a big week of work golf in Detroit.

Franklin Hills CC,  Oakland Hills, South Course (The Monster) and Grand Oaks CC.

It was one year ago on this trip that I carded my first hole in one.

Well 86 that's consistent. I can see I had different mistakes on different days . Which is annoying it wasn't one thing.

Nice work!  I've been similar with a bunch of scores in the low 90s lately.  Broke 90 for the first time a couple weeks ago and looking to make that a regular thing.  Handicap down by almost 5 strokes so far this season!

Well done it's a hard game . Summer is the time to get some extra distance. Not looking forward to having a good handicap and winter coming

  • I just got home from the first round of the BMW Championship. It was my first time attending a pro event. Hovland is my favorite golfer and he finally played well last week, so I followed him for 80% of his round today. Got Theegala and Aberg right after, and then Scottie and Xander after them. 9 miles and 50 flights of stairs. The 17th hole is an absolute BEAST. I saw 5 of the best shots I’ve ever seen.
    - Scottie 3 wood on 8 was insane
    - Aberg 400 yard tee shot with 3 wood
    - Theegala deep in the shit on 14, ball doesn’t hit anything anything coming out, that angle was wild
    - Xander out of the green side bunker on the front 9
    - Viktor had an approach shot to 3 feet that was amazing

Watching these guys in person is crazy.  The ball just sounds different when they hit it.

I think you are on to something.  Being left off the Ryder Cup team might have been the best thing for his career (they were getting trounced regardless).  He has the people behind him now.

Congrats to Lydia Ko.  Glad to see her add another major (and one of the real ones) to her resume.  Can't imagine winning a major, let alone one on the Old Course.

Completely. And now he’s possibly in play for presidents cup…especially if they were to use the logic of why they left him off the Ryder cup.

Yeah, wish I got to watch more of this. Did I read/hear something about her to possibly ride off into the sunset if she won? Hell of a few weeks for her though

I think she said awhile ago she planned to retire by 30.  After the Olympics she said she wasn't committed to that, but could see how this could change her mind if she is knocking out all her goals.

They can.  Tiger did it a few years ago when he was Presidents Cup captain.  Not sure if anyone has done it in the Ryder Cup before

Haha.  Still a good feeling to know that some random old lady is out there thinking you are a great golfer.
