Will the Ryder Cup still be a thing in 20 years?  Seems like half of the American squad just don't care or at a minimum view it is a burden if they aren't paid for it.   I get it.  This is their offseason and they don't want to play tournaments and thus they have some rust coming into it.

At least we're to a point now where everyone can be in on the joke and not be so standoffish when it comes to LIV. ("Smash" is Koepka's LIV team if you're wondering).

That said, after a pretty lopsided Ryder Cup, maybe not the best look to be fooling around...

Happy to say I had no idea what Smash meant. lol

I liked the Orange County National golf courses.  The driving range in the round was neat to see.

The Disney courses are fun as well.

That didn’t help much but that is what I did last time I went to Orlando.

Heading to Bend, OR at end of October.  Gonna play Tetherow and Proghorn-Nicklaus.  Dumb of me to go that late in the year but I have a goal to play the top 100 public courses in the US and need to chip away when convenient.   No connections to try for top 100  including private.

The Disney ones are all about 20 minutes from us. Lake Buena Vista is the closest. Seems like The Palm one gets the best reviews...

Have you played all four of them?

I'm sure it's not the first time this has happened,  but it's the first time I've heard of someone doing this.  Was this first one in the drink?
  • Lost in the deep rough. So I took a provisional . Lost ball

Assuming that smash comment is a joke? The only dollars in that billion must be Saudi:

” According to a viewership breakdown on the outlet Sports Media Watch, LIV Golf Bedminster drew 181,000 viewers on the CW on Saturday and 187,000 viewers on Sunday.

At a quick glance, those numbers probably mean nothing, but SMW posted other viewer numbers for comparison.

SMW reported that an exhibition basketball game between the United States and Spain averaged 657,000 viewers on Fox on Sunday. The WNBA on ION had fewer viewers but still faired better than LIV, averaging 271,000 viewers on Friday for the Chicago Sky vs. New York Liberty game. Even the Little League Softball World Series pulled in more viewers, averaging 861,000 on Sunday afternoon.”

8/16/23 article, which mentions perhaps streaming amounts bring up viewership. You tube indicates 290k subscribers to LIV golf, which is about 0.2% of MrBeast.

I believe I played the Palm.  That one or Magnolia.  It was fun. Resort golf in Florida.

some of you may know, I work at a golf course…99% of the golfers use carts (50% are fat asses, too, but that’s another story)…today, I saw a walker, whose “push cart” followed him like a little puppy…I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of those. pretty trippy.

You boys are crazy.  I use one as do most at my club.  They are amazing.  It's like having a caddy. It saves about 20% of my energy level vs a push cart.  I play in heavy fescue rough and pushing a cart through that is tough.

It's the best golf investment I ever made.  Walking 18 (9 miles for me) is a breeze.
  • I have a motorcaddy . But the remote control is too far for me
