Worst crowd I've seen at a Pearl Jam concert by far... half our section sat the entire show.
But wow, Pearl Jam was on and these list was excellent !

Couldn't agree more. No offense to Jersey but I'm glad to be back in NYC. A few of us got a peek at the early setlist and I'm glad they changed it for the better. Alone and Brother were amazing - to look
at the floor standing there deaf dumb and blind killed me
Wow! Very interesting to hear about the lame crowd. Section 16 was rocking! Only problem was the inconsiderate jerks who kept running down the aisles which kept provoking visits from security.
Great show though, and at least in my section, the crowd was good.
section 8 10c members were rockin for the most part. But the overall crowd was lame. Leave it to Jersey to fuck up a great setlist. Glad I moved from there last month to NYC. MSG!!!! Can't wait.
I wasn't going to post anything about this because I didn't want to seem like I was complaining after a GREAT show like that, but I am so glad I was not the only one who felt that way about the crowd.
I went to the show alone, and the only songs people sang along to (except me) in my area were Evenflow and Alive; the rest of the time, they would stand there and scream at each other at the tops of their lungs or fight with the usher because every one seemed to think they were entitled to move up when someone went to the restroom or to buy beer.
It really distracted me and took me out of the show, which is unfortunate because the boys ROCKED tonight...
I am looking forward to listening to the boot...

A few loud and off key drunk girls yelled and screamed everytime Mike and or Stone had any guitar solo work,
I think it was their first time seeing PJ so you cant really blame them .
The crowd seemed lost for Alone , Brother, & even Insignificance.
I on the other hand, had a blast and cannot wait for the 2 MSG preoductions .

When Ed makes a comment on how quiet Newark was you know you have issues. Maybe you were tired from Boston show, Maybe it was a Tuesday night and you worked all day.....IDK what ever the reason was....Newark sucked. I have been to tons of PEARL JAM shows and this crowd was by far the worst ever. Unless PJ is playing camden....they should skip NJ for now on.....nothing but swamps anyway. I had dead center row 15 beautiful seats and everyone around me was a joke. I don't think the guy next to me even blinked.....not once. I am not saying go buck wild but sheesh move an arm or something. Ed tried and tried to get the crowd to sing (evenflow, daughter, etc EPIC FAIL)
IDK maybe I am being to harsh....but with a kickass setlist like tonight you guys really let the boys down.
Word of advice pearl jam SKIP JERSEY next time.
Maybe when just bieber or lady GUYGUY strolls in town you guys will show life.
Jeresy couldn't sell out the stadium
Half of you were sitting down
No life on the other half standing up
SKIP JERSEY
I don't want to take away from the kickass people who know how to rock out.....some of you were animals.
Move over JERESEY we will show you how us NEW YORKERS ROCK OUT amateur hour is over.
Section 19 was pretty dead. Only two guys near me knew the rarer songs. It didn't help that an older lady behind me was throwing up. Eh whatever, that stuff didn't even come close to ruining the show for me.
Couldn't agree more. That show was sick sick sick. I had to get a single from ticketmaster because I lost out on the presale. I sat in the rafters and not one person up there moved exept for during Alive. The couple in front on me were eating each others faces the entire show, one dude in front of me kept screaming at people, an the rest of the joint looked asleep. Awesome show poor showing!!!!!!!!
I think more Atlantic City shows would be awesome - the frst 2 were off the hook .
Boardwalk Hall is a beautiful venue PJ hasnt conquered yet.

I just don't understand why they didn't just play a 3rd MSG show rather than go to Newark of all place. NEWARK. It had to have something to do with money and how much MSG charges. Sounds like it bit them in the ass.
I for one was very impressed by how nice the arena was. And I didn't think the crowd was THAT bad. Great set list regardless. Who cares if others were animated loud or mobile as long as you liked it? You're there to hear the band not look around or hear other people.
Why pay 90 dollars on a ticket and go to the show to just stand there or sit the whole time? I go to rock the fuck out, I spent my money on my favorite band, I'm gonna make damn sure I enjoy the hell out of myself and have a great time. Case in point, Boston on Monday night. I've been in the 10 Club for 2 years now (should have gotten it longer ago but whatever) and my seats were very far back on the floor (maybe 7 rows from the very back of the floor). So I had giants standing in front of me, I'm about 5 foot 7, and I didn't let that bother me once, I rocked out all night. To each his own, but I mean come on, Boston always brings it, and Pearl Jam recognizes that. That's why, 32 songs into the show, at 11:30 at night, half an hour after curfew, almost 3 hours on stage, the guys were still VERY into the show, and so was the crowd. I could have gone till 12:30 had they decided to. Don't be a slouch at the show, or just don't go.
