They have an internal loan program. They can purchase scooters with loans from others but can't get them registered, hence the police crackdown on unregistered scooters.

Because you don’t know what the impact of Brandon’s funding request would mean for “controlling the border.” Just like you don’t know what the ramifications of closing the border would be. It’s easier to say, “nothing is being done,” look around where you live and work and think what you see is how it is everywhere in ‘Murica and then blame the Brandon Crime Family, do I have that right?

WASHINGTON — A deal on changes to immigration policy remained elusive on Tuesday for top U.S. Senate negotiators.
Those leading the talks — Sens. James Lankford, Republican of
Oklahoma, Chris Murphy, Democrat of Connecticut and Kyrsten Sinema,
independent of Arizona — have worked for weeks to strike a deal between
the White House and Senate Republicans on immigration policy changes at
the U.S. Southern border.
Congress was on a break for the holidays but returned this week.
“Everybody’s still at the table talking, so that’s a good thing,”
Lankford said, adding that he’s hoping there can be bill text later this
week.
Democratic Senate Leader Chuck Schumer of New York said that negotiations on an immigration deal have made progress.
“We’re going to be persistent,” Schumer said. “We’re closer today to an agreement than we have ever been.”
For the past month, the Biden administration has been negotiating
with that group of bipartisan senators to strike a deal that would
tighten immigration restrictions in exchange for passage of a more than
$100 billion in emergency supplemental aid for Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan
and U.S. border security.
“There needs to be a strong border provision (as) part of (the
supplemental),” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky said
during a Tuesday press conference.

So in NYC, they've moved students at Madison High School to remote learning so that they can house 1,900 migrants at the school. They have to protect them from the high winds and rain at the tent shelter they were at. No plans on housing the 48,000 homeless New Yorkers. But the migrants are being taken care of.

I know that's wrong. We house like 60,000 homeless on average.
What has been happening is schools have been used repeatedly and parents get pissed and rightfully so.
I've also mentioned that Floyd Bennett field was a mistake to put them. What I initially thought was they'd use the airplane hangars there but they didn't. They set up one of those temp big house tents for the migrants. Well the high winds we have had here aren't ideal for the winds so they had to move them to the schools.
You'd have deaths if they didn't so I understand why they moved them.

Smooth, visa-free travel essentially means carrying a European passport or being from one of a handful of high-income Asian countries, according to the rankings. Four E.U. member states — France, Germany, Italy, and Spain — moved to the top of the list this year, joining Japan and Singapore, economic powerhouses that have dominated global passport rankings over the past five years. The United States, which topped the list a decade ago, held its place at seventh, tied with Canada and Hungary.

The United States, which topped the list a decade ago, held its place at seventh, tied with Canada and Hungary.
Trevor Williams, former chief economist at Lloyds Bank, said in a statement that the “overarching narrative that links greater economic performance with visa-free access” is “once again powerfully highlighted” by the latest report.
The least powerful passports
Travel restrictions have decreased globally, with the average number of destinations travelers can visit visa-free nearly doubling since 2006, according to Henley & Partners, which advises wealthy people on residence and citizenship by investment. But not all countries have benefited from this increased access, and inequality between the wealthy and poorer countries has widened.|
On the newly released list, of five countries at the bottom, four are also among the top 10 most impacted by terrorism, according to the Global Terrorism Index, and all have a recent history of armed conflict.
Dutch professors Henk van Houtum and Annelies van Uden liken visas to “paper prisons” in a 2021 paper, writing that “affluent countries are excluding those who are seen as an economic or security risk, notably the global poor.” Such policies allow for what they call “a global aristocracy principally determined by birth” to lock in “a global underclass, and from afar.”
The passports with the most dramatic shifts
Changes in passport mobility happen when countries add or remove visa requirements for travelers of other nationalities. Canada, for instance, opened visa-free travel to 13 new countries last year, while the United Kingdom announced it would impose visa requirements on Hondurans in response to an uptick in asylum applications at the border.
The United Arab Emirates has seen the greatest shift in power in the past decade, jumping from 55th to 11th, by adding a “impressive” 106 destinations to the visa-free score, Henley & Partners said. China and Ukraine also saw significant shifts, both gaining 21 destinations for visa-free entry over the past 10 years.
