I am listening to the bootleg of this. It's fucking amazing. I love Jeff's bass on Nothingman. Sounds so powerful. Bring an extra level of sad to this song. wish I had been thereLet Me Live So When It's Time To Die Even The Reaper Cries0

I was at Hartford and Kansas City and The KC boot blows Hartford out of the water. I can barely hear Mike on Hartford and I even bought FLAC versions. Very disappointing to have such different quality on the same tour.
With that said, Hartford was bad ass to attend!Straight down the center for a hot chicken dinner!0 -

I'm listening to the bootleg now, and I love it.
Unthought Known and Corduroy are slowed down a bit and makes so much difference. The songs have room to breathe and sound a little more powerful because of it. Bought the bootleg as a birthday present to myself, and still listen to it obsessively. The crowd was amazing that night (something you can't really tell on the recording, but o well). Went nuts when they did SOLAT and especially Crazy Mary! Am still hoping to hear Dirty Frank live, but not very much to complain about on the set list. Loved them opening with Unthought Known, then getting to hear Amongst the Waves later on (one of my personal faves, but didn't seem to go over well). Brought my husband, who was a casual fan at best, but he walked away with a new respect for them, especially McCready (hubby plays in a band, and hates that a lot of today's music seems to have gotten away from guitar solos - I told him McCready would not disappoint). It's hard for me sometimes to explain how much PJ and their music mean to me, so when people asked how the show was, all I could respond with was: It was like church.Riding high amongst the waves

well this time I may not neccesarily blame the bootleg, Mike had problems with his guitar amp during the first half of the show..
... you can barely hear the Corduoy solo..
and he didn't even bother playing his solo on Satan's Bed!
and then around about SOLAT and suddenly he was back to his frantic self ... like someone turned his "On switch on..
check out the segway from Ain't talking Bout Love into Porch...
Even his Porch solo starts off tepid and then Mikey wails.. the rest of the night.."This here's a REQUEST!"

Being there and up close, I thought the crowd was a 9. And watching the reaction of all of the guys I think they were a little blown away too. All of them were smiling and having a great time all night. Haven't seen Jeff smile that much ever!!! And to see Stone lay down on the ground playing guitar at the end was priceless. They really fed off the crowd. And at MSG2 before Nothingman Ed even made a comment about the Hartford crowd.04/06/94 Springfield, 04/17/94 NYC, 10/02/96 Hartford, 11/14/97 Oakland, 09/08/98 NJ, 09/10/98 MSG, 09/11/98 MSG, 09/13/98 Hartford, 08/24/00 Jones Beach, 08/25/00 Jones Beach 04/30/03 Uniondale, 07/08/03 MSG, 07/09/03 MSG, 09/28/04 Boston, 10/01/05 Borgata, 10/03/05 Philly, 05/13/06 Hartford 05/25/06 Boston, 06/01/06 NJ, 06/03/06 NJ, 08/05/07 Chicago, 06/24/08 MSG, 06/25/08 MSG, 06/27/08 Hartford, 06/30/08 Mansfield, 07/01/08 The Beacon, 08/21/09 Toronto, 10/27/09 Philly, 10/28/09 Philly, 10/30/09 Philly, 10/31/09 Philly, 05/15/2010 Hartford, 05/17/2010 Boston, 05/20/2010 MSG, 05/21/2010 MSG, Montreal 09/07/2011, Philly 09/01/2012, Wrigley 07/19-20,2013, Worcester 10/16/13, Brooklyn 10/18, Brooklyn 10/19/13, Hartford 10/25/13, Ed Sullivan 09/23/2015, Central Park 09/26/2015 Philly 04/29/2016. I thought the crowd was great for most of the night, probably a 9. It was a little disappointing at the end to see people streaming out early. The lights came up during/following Indifference and there were a ton of people flowing by us (we were on an aisle) during All Along The Watchtower.
Still, the crowd energy for most of the night was great.___________________________________________

DEF think Hartford 2010 was best Hartford show ever, the small venue and AWESOME Crowd really made it a hell of the night.. Ed commented right off the bat that he could feel the crowd... then once we talk about the music and the Nothingman sing along and the 2nd encore and Aint talkin bout love... Hell of a 2 hr 20 minutes... electric show... Hartford 08 was really awesome too... but ill take the Arena show.1998 Tour- Hartford 9/13
