I thought the crowd was great for most of the night, probably a 9. It was a little disappointing at the end to see people streaming out early. The lights came up during/following Indifference and there were a ton of people flowing by us (we were on an aisle) during All Along The Watchtower.
Still, the crowd energy for most of the night was great.
Being there and up close, I thought the crowd was a 9. And watching the reaction of all of the guys I think they were a little blown away too. All of them were smiling and having a great time all night. Haven't seen Jeff smile that much ever!!! And to see Stone lay down on the ground playing guitar at the end was priceless. They really fed off the crowd. And at MSG2 before Nothingman Ed even made a comment about the Hartford crowd.
I might have to buy that boot just for that.

How many of you thought Eddie was talking about "Whale Song" for the OTOTO before he talked about the UConn women? I did.

Just went on a youtube bender reminiscing of this show. Wow. It really was like a mini MSG 2
Unbelievable show. Could go for a show this year.

Been to the last 3 hartford shows. All great. I definitely still rank Hartford 08 as the best of the bunch though.
My first! So humid that night but that only made the night even more fun. Probably the best set list out of all the Hartford shows.

DEF think Hartford 2010 was best Hartford show ever, the small venue and AWESOME Crowd really made it a hell of the night.. Ed commented right off the bat that he could feel the crowd... then once we talk about the music and the Nothingman sing along and the 2nd encore and Aint talkin bout love... Hell of a 2 hr 20 minutes... electric show... Hartford 08 was really awesome too... but ill take the Arena show.

A fall show in Hartford would be great (only 3 hours from where I live, though it would only work out for me if it was on a Saturday since I'll be in college in the fall).
Hartford 2010 was my first PJ show ever. I couldn't believe I was seeing PJ live. I was so happy. I sat to the right of the stage up in the Nosebleeds almost towards the back, but I could still see the band clearly. Only complaint was that there were Mic troubles at the start, but they fixed it after Corduroy if I remember it right. My favorite song from that night was "Just Breathe". "Indifference" was really good too. If I remember correctly, I think that was the song where the audience stood up and was clapping their hands along with the song. Speaking of the crowd, I thought it was pretty good, though the people near my mom and I didn't participate much, so I guess the more active participants were elsewhere. I remember wondering if my shouting would be captured on the bootleg or not.
Back on the subject of the songs, I remember Ed saying something about "Nothingman", but the only part I heard clearly was that the song was a "cautionary tale". It was still great to hear him say that though, it really made me feel like I was there.
I entered for 10 Club tickets to London (which would be my second PJ show), but lost. Hopefully, I and the others who got shut out will get tickets in the public sale. If not, then I'll have to take my chances in the Fall. I wish I knew these dates before 02/09/13 so I can know if I have a back-up plan in case I get completely shut out of London.

Sorry. They haven't played near me since Hartford 2010 (MSG and Newark were after Hartford, but I couldn't go to those since money had just been spent on Hartford. Also, those shows were during the week and I couldn't go because of school. With that being said though I did think of skipping school and going to MSG 2 instead of Hartford, but decided against it.) and it just wasn't in the cards to travel overseas or cross-country (or to the 2011 Canada tour, which I don't count as overseas or cross-country since I live in the U.S.) to see them (money and schedule-wise). Things just worked out that way.

It appears I have confused some people. My comment was a play on Eddie's "one time, one time, one time only" line right before the Van Halen cover in 2010.

Right. But have they played it again?
Nope.
I thought JimmyV's post was about two shows in Hartford this time.

Newch91 gets my drift.
 I sure do. Hartford will be the biggest party of the US tour (whenever the show is). It's time for Hartford to get "Release" as an opener and a lot of stuff from Binaural and Riot Act, to make up for skipping it on those two tours. Now I'm just dreaming.

Sorry I misinterpreted your comment JimmyV. I thought you were throwing a dig at me for only having been to one PJ show and trying for my second one. I took "Two times, two times, two times only..." to mean "You've only been to 2 PJ shows!". No hard feelings.

No worries. And I have only been to six. Given the number of shows many on the boards have seen that isn't that many more.
