    yes, cliff, they are.

speaking of commies...what a terrible name for the WFT.

the strategy of keeping a pitcher in or pulling him is what makes NL > AL.
Hell yeah! The only reason I go to Phillies games is the off chance that girardi walks out with a lineup card, chats with the ump, and pulls a double switch. It absolutely brings the house down.
Next time I get 4.5 hours free I’ll hit up a Yankees Red Sox game

People who like to watch pitchers bat are no fun at parties.
I used to be as anti-DH as anyone. If for no other reason, it goes against the very first rule in the rules of baseball...

"Baseball is a game between two teams of nine players each, under direction of a manager, played on an enclosed field in accordance with these rules, under jurisdiction of one or more umpires."

Well the DH makes it ten players each and thus, goes against the very first rule. Nevertheless, I'm to a point where games are too long and too boring and I'd be fine with the DH in the National League. Baseball has been dying for some time now, but it really seems to be a crossroads right now. They need to make some changes. If the DH in the NL is one of them, that's fine with me. Much like when interleague play was introduced, it's something that I don't like as a "purist," but I'll accept it if it makes things more fun.

Adding a DH in the NL isn't going to make the game any damn faster..

Have the player stop stepping out of the batters box and call time so he can go through his ridiculous choreographed mechanics of touching nutsack, jaw, readjusts batting gloves, touches nutsack again, spits, readjusts one batting glove, adjusts helmet , touches nutsack, spits again, digs right foot in holds out bat touches nutsack, digs in other foot, spits, looks at pitcher, but the pitcher isn't set so he calls time and wash, rinse and repeat...

I'll believe it when I see it, especially after the fiasco of last week, but it does seem promising.

Other than the international draft it sounded ok, but an international draft can't be enough to stop talking, at least I'd like to think so, but who knows.

They were really close on all the financial stuff.  Where did this international draft thing come from??  I haven't been following it super closely but feel like I just started hearing about that yesterday.  Either way this is an absolute joke.

Are they legitimately trying to lose fans? That's how this negotiation seems to be going.

We will die on this hill together, Chris!  Here's to hoping the pitch clock (or as I'd like to refer to it - the "get the fuck in the box" clock) helps with this, if they actually implement it.

It's about fucking time.  Still an absolute joke that it came to this and they didn't start seriously negotiating until a couple weeks before spring training.
