    How the Pirates fire their manager and retain the front office is baffling.  The worst owner in sports by far. Even worse than Snyder, which is saying something.

    It's about how good is your analytics team? The manager for the most part is about answering the questions in the post game.

    It's about how good is your analytics team? The manager for the most part is about answering the questions in the post game. 
    Basically, the majority of managers are just paint-by-numbers and follow a book of analytics.   Only a few remaining really live outside that, and I believe they were/are the 2 best in the game: Maddon and Francona.
