Fun fact I just heard on the Cards telecast. Juan Soto made his ML debut on May 20, 2018, but his first homer in the books came on May 15. Played in the last few innings of a suspended game that they made up after his call up.

This is kind of sad.  I hate the Cardinals (hate!) but always marveled at Pujols. 
Still better than many players but getting old sucks.

Still rounds to .300, but got some games remaining, too.  And two more seasons.  The decline of his slash line since going to LAA is rather startling.  His career OBP with LAA (.315) is lower than his career BA with STL (.328).

True, but it is also an age where a starting pitcher is only expected to go 5-6 innings instead of a full game, so still pretty impressive.

True, but it is also an age where a starting pitcher is only expected to go 5-6 innings instead of a full game, so still pretty impressive.

A few years ago I thought 300 K's was a done thing but with players not giving a shit as long as their OPS is up this will be a trend for pitchers.

You might see 2 pitchers a year with 300k's not more than that though.
