For a guy who supposedly has "anxiety" issues, Greinke's not afraid to be the center of attention when $147 million is involved.

Yeah, man. It will certainly be an interesting year to say the least. I'd like to be a fly on the wall of that clubhouse.

i'm not one that likes this kind of team...buying players...but i guess that's the reality...i do like that kasten is rebuilding our farm system...that's what i like...building a winner from within

I hear you, seems like that is going to be the name of the game now though with these tv contracts.

"The Royals have bolstered their starting rotation for 2013 thanks to the addition of two quality pitchers. Kansas City has agreed to acquire right-hander James Shields, right-hander Wade Davis and a player to be named or cash from Tampa Bay in exchange for outfielder Wil Myers, right-hander Jake Odorizzi, left-hander Mike Montgomery and third baseman Patrick Leonard, according to a team release."

Seemed inevitable that Myers would be traded. Great prospect, but unproven at the major league level. Kind of surprised that top pitching prospect Odorizzi was involved in the trade too in addition to Montgomery and Leonard. Definitely an old fashioned baseball trade.

I wonder if the Royals gave up too much though. Only time will tell!

Yeah, he definitely has the upside for sure. Lots of power, but we'll see how his BA is at the major league level. Strikes out a ton too. Exciting player though!

So now that Arizona has their shortstop. have to figure Hamilton back to the Rangers is only a matter of time.

Red Sox still haven't announced the Napoli deal.
